Warrior of the Week : Lionheart

Lionheart was born to Smallear and Speckletail in a litter of two. He and his sister, Goldenkit, led a normal kithood, with the only bizarre thing to happen being when Goosefeather received a sign on a vole's fur.

Interesting things began happening when he was apprenticed to Swiftbreeze. The first of which being when he followed Pinestar to the twoleg place and learns of his plans to become a kittypet, but didn't tell anyone about it. During that time, Swiftbreeze had become pregnant with a litter of kits, causing Lionheart's training to be taken over by Sunfall, Pinestar's deputy.

Not too long after all of that, Pinestar officially announced to his Clan that he was leaving to spend his remaining last life as a kittypet with his new housefolk. As expected, this didn't go over well with his clan, and many cats were devastated and didn't want their leader to leave them, to which Lionheart had asked the Clan if they truly wanted a leader who no longer wished to lead. Before Pinestar left, he told Lionheart (who was Lionpaw at the time) to inform Sunfall that his warrior name was to be Lionheart, and he received that warrior name a couple moons afterwards.

A while later he became deputy under Bluestar's reign. This greatly upset Tigerclaw, as Tigerclaw had harbored high hopes for becoming the next deputy. Since then, Tigerclaw had resented Lionheart, especially when Lionheart agreed with Bluestar about inviting Rusty into ThunderClan. However, Tigerclaw was soon delighted when, during a ShadowClan attack, Lionheart suffered major injuries, and though they didn't kill him immediately, he died from them a few days later, to which the entire Clan held vigil for him.
