I looked at him in disbelief. "You have got to be kidding me." I gritted.

Amir smirked and then took a look at the card. "You can't possibly be serious about this?" He held the card up.  How was he acting like nothing happened? What makes him think he can just suddenly appear in front of me?

I tried to be smooth and grab the card away from him but he stepped back swiftly. "Amir." I gritted and he just looked me over.

"His company isn't doing too well ya know." He informed me with his head held high but I honestly didn't care.

"Well I don't have a job anyways and it's your fault."  I was getting annoyed and was done playing his games. He loved to play with my head by playing the disappearing act. I tried not to care that he looked better than ever or that his eyes were glistening and dreamy as hell.

Amir stopped. "I don't remember getting you fired." He bit his lip as if he was thinking over the memory.

"Right." I sighed. "Just give it back." I held out my hand. "I need this job Amir."

Amir looked at me, studying my demeanor. "But why with him? Why not somebody else?" He asked. "I can definitely get you a different job position with somebody better." He looked around the room. "You see that guy, his name is Craig, or that other man in the blue tie? His name is Daniel Baker. He needs new employees."

I looked at the people he was pointing out. "They all look like they are in their hundreds!" Why in the world is he recommending me people who are so old they shouldn't even be here.

Amir took a step back, as if he was offended. "You are so superficial." He pointed his finger. "You want your employer to look good looking huh? That's your motive?"

My jaw dropped. "No I just them to hear me and be able to move!" I put my hands on my hips and narrowed my eyes at him. "What is your problem?"

Amir loosened his tie. "Nothing."

"Good. Give me my card back." I asked and he looked at me, gritting his teeth. Then all of a sudden he crumbled the card up and stuffed it in his mouth.

"AMIR!" I lunged at him and tried to open his mouth but he covered it with his hands. My eyes almost fell out their sockets. "You're crazy!"

Amir just shrugged but then took out the soggy card and threw it in the trash. I just glared at him as he did that. "What?" He looked at me. "You want it back?"

"No." I was so disappointed and it showed because my shoulders now slumped. "You're so mean."

Amir crossed his arms. "When have i ever been nice?" He asked.

I glared at him. "Right." I walked over to the food table and put a small chocolate muffin onto my mouth. It tasted so delicious and luxurious. I mean it what I should expect from this party.

Amir came over and tried one as well but cringed. "I still don't understand how you like this sweet garbage."

I looked at while still chewing the muffin. "I guess I love sweets because I don't like sour people like you."

Amir glared at me. "Sure." He scoffed as he looked me up and down. The way he eyed me made my heart beat faster and gave me butterflies in my stomach. I hated that he still could pour his charms over me.

Then it struck me.

I quickly grabbed a tiny cup and filled up with chocolate from the chocolate fountain. I then turned around and poured the sweet stuff all over Amir.

As soon as it hit Amir's thick luscious hair, he froze. "Malak you didn't" He said as he slowly turned around to face me.

I giggled. "Oh yes I did." I put my hand over my mouth and tried to hide the laughter.
