I gasped and a bit of cake lodged in my throat. I began coughing immediately as my eyes darted around for a glass of water or juice. So far every cup was filled to the brim with champagne.

Kareem quickly grabbed a waiter and asked for water. The waiter ran back with a cold water bottle. As soon as I drank it, I felt like I could breath again.

"Oh my god thank you." I held my chest as my fast breathing calmed.

"No problem." Kareem smiled. I looked at him wondering what he thought now that we kinda ignore him. As I examined his features, I noticed Amir glaring at me from the entrance. He didn't look too happy that I was speaking with Kareem.

His frown deepened and he quickly began making his way to us.

I didn't know what would come out of his mouth but knew it would be rude nonetheless. I quickly finished my conversation with Kareem and began walking towards Amir.

That boys temper usually got us in a lot of trouble.

I grabbed his arm and spun him around the exit. I really wanted to leave this party.

"What did he say." Amir gritted.

"Nothing." I patted his chest softly. "He asked how we were doing that's all."

Amir's eyes narrowed. "I can't believe he has the nerve to speak to you after what he's done."

I sighed. "Whatever. Let's just go home."

Amir was still angry at home as he was at the event.

"Let it go." I groaned as I walked to the restroom.

Amir glared at me. "How do you know what I'm angry at?"

I laughed. "You're really simple minded."

"Are you insisting  I'm dumb?" He asked.

"Nope." I smirked. I quickly locked the bathroom door and took a shower. I had my clothes with me on the bathroom counter ready.

I was nervous to go out in revealing pjs but had to remember I was with my husband.

As soon as I got out he made it worse. His light eyes glided over my body slowly making me very uncomfortable. I threw the towel I had on my head at him. "Stop looking!"

Amir's eyes looked away. "I think it's safe to say we're married Malak." He glared at me.

"So?" I sassed.

Amir's eyes flickered, full of mischief. "So," he trailed beginning to undo the small buttons on his shirt. "I want you. Today."

I backed up hoping he wasn't serious but the look in his eyes wasn't helping. "Amir," I began but nothing helped. Pretty soon his hands touched my skin burning and demanding.

"I just feel tired guys." I told Samra and Diana as we picked out a table at the coffee shop. Diana went to go get us our orders.

"What from all the nailing last night." Samra smiled.

"Samra!" I smacked her arm.

"How can you even tell?" I mumbled.

"You're walking funny." She giggled.

I rolled my eyes. "Ya know? I don't understand the television shows. They make it seem like "doing it" is a breeze. It's so not. At least for me."

Samra smirked. "We'll be safe kids."

I sighed. "You're so stupid."

Diana came with our coffees. "Here you guys go."

"Thanks!" Samra smiled.

"You invited people over and you won't even help me cook." I glared at Amir who was clutching the control.

Amir looked at his nails. "I would come and help you but I'm not so sure I'm good at cooking."

"Amir!" I smacked the spatula on his thigh. "Come on!"

He sighed but picked his 6 foot self up and grabbed the veggies to start cooking. However pretty soon I began regretting him helping out because he knew how to cook better than me. It seems he's gotten great at it in the past years. I remember him being extremely terrible.

I sat at the side of the counter. "Well I'm pretty useless now." I sighed as I watched Amir passionately make the food.

"Just sit there and look pretty. That's enough for me." He winked.

I giggled and threw a potato peel at him. "Stop it." I gushed.

Murad chuckled. "You're cleaning up the mess though."

"Damn it."

*****

The guests that came over were basically our friends. We just invited them because they have never been over here and it would be nice for them to become comfortable and visit when they'd like.

Choji walked through the door first. "First come first served." He ran to the kitchen after smelling the food that I haven't even put on the table.

The rest then followed with Sameer Samra Diana and Wasem.

We all sat filling up the table and room with warmth and laughter. As I looked around the room I became happy knowing how beautiful our relationship was with one another. I smiled to myself as Amir watched me knowing what I was feeling as well. I carefully wrapped a pinky around mine securing my thoughts and making my heart race even more.

Never in a million years I'd thought I'd become this complete.
