It was Wednesday.I dreaded this day more than ever.
I lazily got myself ready for what Kareem accidentally called a "double date". My heart almost stopped at that comment so I forced Choji and his sister to come along. I was not going to suffer alone.
"I'm here! Come down Malak!!" Choji screamed from the front door and I flinched.
"Coming!" shouted back and then looked into the mirror to make sure that nothing was out of place.
I got out to meet him in the car and met eyes with an unfamiliar person who was sitting in Chojis fancy car. I looked at Choji, confused.
Choji sighed. "She's my date. My sister couldn't come so my dad suggested this lady." He whispered to my ear as his date sat in the car.
I nodded. "Sounds good."
Choji frowned. "No that's is not good. You know I hate when my dad does this."
I rolled my eyes. "She might be a great person. Let's go!" I slapped him on the shoulder and we were out on our way to my dreaded evening.

As soon as I stepped into the busy restaurant Kareem was already there to great me.
He must have been watching me from the inside of this place because it was weird how he knew that I just entered.
However, I'm glad that he did show up because this restaurant was huge and I was afraid of never finding him.
"Hey." He smiled and I waved. He was dressed to the nines with his dark midnight hair stylishly combed back and his wrist loaded with 12k around it. I honestly think he looks better than he did at the party.
"Hi." I unknowingly blushed and pretended not to be slightly nervous. I subconsciously started looking around the restaurant hoping to see where Amir was at. It was weird and so when I realized what I was doing, I quickly shook the thought of him out of my head.
"So where is the rest?" Choji asked from behind me. He was so bored and it looked like the life was sucked right out of him.
Kareem flashed us one of his charming smiles again. "We're over here." He led us to the back of the restaurant where there was longer tables to seat more than four people.
As soon as I turned the corner of this lightly lit restaurant, my eyes locked with Amir. For some reason my heart beat began to speed up and I quickly adverted my eyes to the women who was across from him next to him.
Samra.
She was dressed in a figure hugging black maxi dress that had a sweetheart neckline. Her hair was in gorgeous loose waves and her makeup was stunning. She looked like 100/10.
Next to her I probably looked like a potato.
Kareem sat next to Amir and I sat next to Samra, across Kareem. Choji and his date, which I learned that her name was actually Luce, sat next to me.
