"I can't believe I saw Waseem today." Samra sighed as she turned over on the mattress I had laid down for her. She was sleeping over today after the exhausting evening.

Diana peeked from her bed and looked at her. "Why?" She asked. Diana was supposed to sleep in her room but ended up joining us and taking a side on my bed.

"Because" Samra muttered and my eyes flew open.

"Don't tell me you guys had a thing!" I sat up and stared at her in surprise.

Samra blushed. "Not really. But I always had a huge crush on him when I was younger." She admitted shyly.

I threw a small pillow at her head. "What else is there you need to tell us!"

"What happened?" Diana asked, intrigued by this new revelation.

Samra sighed. "Well he never returned my feelings even though I confessed to him multiple times till the point his freinds even knew I was into him."

"Oh," I looked at my hands.

"Yep!" She pulled the cover up to her shoulder and then whispered "goodnight".

*********

Since Amir was traveling for business reasons, it was up to me to finish the wedding planning. He left me with a very well known wedding planner. And It was honestly better this way because he was not here to distract me and blow me kisses every chance he got. Or wink at me whenever he caught me looking at him.

So instead I'm stuck with his side of the family as we shopped for bridesmaid dresses. Waseem, his younger brother and their mom decided to join us today. They were both nice but they wanted to do a drastic wedding which is not what I am looking for.

"Why don't you put pearls in the flower centerpieces?" His mom commented as I looked at the wedding catalog.

I looked at her. "No it's fine I prefer doing this way because I like simple."

Amir's mom sighed. "Fine darling whatever you want." She laughed slightly and went to sit with her son to speak with some of the designers for the dress.

Diana quickly called me to the dressing room. She and Samra were trying out the bridesmaid dresses. "Come look!"

I ran over and pulled back the curtain. I gasped at how beautiful they looked. I was so impressed. They rocked the red dresses I had chosen for them. Their dresses were long deep red satin dresses with long sleeves.

"Don't we look amazing!" Samra asked excitedly. "I love being a bridesmaid!"

I clapped my hands together. "Of course! You guys look amazing!"

"Thank you!" Samra squealed and twirled herself as she watched her reflection in the mirror.

Waseem must heard of all the noise because he decided to comment. "Why do I hear a chipmunk squeaking?" He said dully as he closed his eyes with irritation.

Since Samra didn't wear a hijab anyways she ran out and pinched his arm.

"Ouch!" Waseem was surprised just as I was.

"Watch your mouth grandpa." She warned as he rubbed his arm.

He scowled at her comment. "I'm not that much older than you chipmunk."

"Five years older is old." She fought back. "I'm much younger than you."

Waseem rolled his eyes and the continued bickering.

As they did, my mind thought back to what Samra told me last knight. Since Kareem was out of the picture, I wondered if they could possibly rekindle the romance or maybe be together despite the crush being so long back.
