My jaw fell as did my heart.

My eyes almost popped out of my head. "Are you serious?" I said out of breath.

Kareem sighed. "Yes, unfortunately."

I bit my lip as I thought. This is crazy, how could Samras dad do such a thing! But it makes sense as to why he's such an ass.

"Wait," I looked at Kareem. "Couldn't you have just blackmailed him with this information back?"

Kareem pursed his lips. "I could have, but I didn't want to ruin Samras life."

I sighed. "Well she needs to know despite what you think. I just don't know how we can solve this."

Kareem came forward suddenly. "Malak," he spoke slowly," don't go and tell anyone. My life and Samras life is at stake."

"Okay I guess I'll keep it a secret for the next 12 hours." I spoke.

Kareem's eyes widened. "Twelve hours!"

I sighed. "Yes. That means you need to spill the beans so nobody keeps getting hurt. You don't even know the trouble Samra has gone out to do for you. She really loves you."

Kareem sighed. "Yeah but Malak, even if I don't like Samra." He quickly bit his lip after he said that and my eyes widened.

"Then who do you have in mind?" I frowned. "I-"

"Oh god I think I'm going to puke." Amir's voice suddenly boomed from behind me. "What is he doing here?"

I held my chest as I was so startled. "Amir?"

Amir frowned. "Why do you look like you've just seen a ghost?"

"Because you came out of nowhere." Kareem said bluntly.

"That's cute Kareem." Amir then strode over to him. "What are you doing here anyways? I'm going to give you five seconds to get out of here before I come after you."

I rolled my eyes. "Amir! Can you please stop?"

Amir ignored me and just kept glaring at Kareem so I grabbed his arm and lead him back to me. "Listen, there is a problem." I gave Kareem a brief look and he shook his head, telling me no but I still went with it. "Samras father is cheating on his wife." I blurted.

Amir slowly turned around to face me with a glaring frown. "Is this a joke?"

Kareem spoke up. "Obviously not Amir."

I touched Amir's arm gently and I could feel him tense up after I did that so I quickly released my hand. "He's not joking. It's the reason he and Samra couldn't last. Samras father is threatening him." I explained softly to Amir and then he calmed down. I could see him decipher the information.

"I know what to do." Amir quickly said whilst looking at me.

AMIR:

Fuming wasn't good enough to describe my feelings at the moment.

Is there a more proper word to describe the feeling of wanting to legitimately rip someone's head off?
