"What do you think?" Amir cocked his head towards my house where everyone except Amir's step mom was still celebrating. She just congratulated me and then left because she was busy which was understandable.
I felt the warm summer breeze softly brush up against my skin and Amir's hair as we both sat on the swing seat in front of the house. I looked at him but then looked away from his enticing green eyes. "I think it's surprising. I didn't expect it." I blushed and Amir chuckled.
Amir then pointed to the ring that now replaced Amir's old ring he has given me when we were younger. "How about that?"
I bit my lip. I felt so shy when I was with him. It felt like a whole different world when it's now reality that we will actually be together. I wasn't so shy when me and him butted heads. "It's nice." I blushed as I studied the silver diamond ring that sparked as I moved. It was gorgeous to be truthful.
Amir scoffed. "Nice?" He raised a brow. "It better be "nice". It cost me more than fifty grand."
I whipped my head in his direction, up at him. "Seriously?" I said wide eyed and shocked.
Amir chuckled. "Just don't loose it. I have Sameer a headache and myself trying to find the perfect one." He looked into my eyes. "To be honest, its sentimental value is worth more than its price tag."
I blushed once again and quickly covered my face. "Amir stop!" I slapped his shoulder because he was giving me too much feelings. They rushed like electricity throughout me.
"Ow!" He held his shoulder. "I'm you're husband you can stop bringing out your John Cena on me now."
I rolled my eyes. "You're not my husband yet." I put out a finger. "You're only my fiancé."
Amir narrowed his eyes. "Well it's not like you're going to change your mind."
I loved to play his games and so I shrugged. "I mean-"
Amir quickly grabbed my jaw and inched my face closer to him. His action left me stunned and frozen in place as I stared into his mischievous eyes. "Don't get naughty with me Malak." He whispered as his eyes slowly glazed over my lips.
I got a slight whiff of his sweet minty breath before pulling away. I felt frazzled not sure what to think next. Sitting next to him was like sitting next to a tempting devil from hell.
"Don't you dare try anything Amir." I backed away.
Amir shrugged. "Why would I? You said I'm not your husband."
My eyes became slits. "Right." I said sarcastically.
Amir cocked his head. "Unless," he looked at my lips and then back at me, "you know," his eyes lit up with dark mischief, "you say so." He dared and inched closer
I gasped. "You're so full of yourself." I quickly got up and brushed off my clothing. I felt too nervous sitting here next to him. "I'm going inside. You can join me if you'd like." I mumble and get out of his way.
Amir got up. "Nah I've actually got to get going." He smirked. "Don't miss me too much." He winked and then turned away leaving me stunned.
Amir was definitely cocky but strangely he was being extra today.
He fished for his keys that were in his pockets and headed to his car. When he turned around to look back at me, I quickly opened the front door and walked into the house with a question still hanging on my head.
