Amir ate at himself as I explained to her that I was planning to go out. I left out a lot of details. If I didn't I would be just telling her that I was going grocery shopping later.
"Can we get to the damn plan please?" Amir snapped and we all shut our mouths.
Samra glared at him. "Of course you'd always be impatient."
Amir cocked his head. "Well I have much more important matters to tend to."
"Really?" Choji challenged and then one thing lead to another until We all began to bicker at each other like children.
"Guys!" Suddenly Diana yelled and we all got silent. "Can we please get to the main point?"
I sighed. "She's right," I felt my feet getting numb. " and these heels are killing me." I muttered as I kicked them off.
Amir scoffed. "Back to being a midget Malak?"
"Shut up." I nudged him harshly while I on my way to put the shoes away on the top shelf. When I walked back I saw him smirk devilishly.
"What?" I demanded but he remained silent and shook his head. I felt my hands form into fists.
"Can you guys stop bickering over there?" Choji called out and I sighed. I let it go and just plopped on the couch.
Amir, still with the smirk plastered over his face, spoke up. "You reached?" He mocked, implying that I was short and was able to put the shoes away.
I glared at him. "Very funny."
Amir chuckled at his own joke and then walked away from me. When he saw I was still looking at him, he winked.
I immediately looked away and just began to pay attention to Samras plan. She had it all figured out and all we needed was to play our parts. We had to all pretend Samra really tried to kill herself so that her parents hear her voice.
After we figured what to do, we all decided to go to lunch. I was happy actually because I haven't really sat down and spent time with them.
However my enthusiasm for going ended when Amir said he wouldn't be joining. "I have many things to do. You guys go ahead." He said casually.
I hated him sometimes.
Everyone gathered their belongings and headed out. I was quick to join them when I realized my shoes were still where I had placed them. I ran back to collect them but only found one which was strange.
I was one hundred percent sure I left them both here. My head spun as I frantically flipped the room looking for them. Everyone was basically gone and I was stuck searching.
"What the hell?!" I huffed as I scouted the room.
Amir was last to leave. He was silently watching me. "What seems to be the problem?" He spoke with sincerity but his smirk and his wild eyes told another story.
"What seems to be the problem?" I mocked his devilish tone. I put my hands on my hips in disappointment as I continued to look for my other shoe.
Amir licked his lips. "Everyone left you know." He leaned on the door as he slid his hands into his dark trousers.
"They wouldn't leave me Amir." I bit back.
