Kacie and I are sitting on the bleachers in the gym waiting for tryouts to start. And behind us is our friends, because they insisted on watching us. Great.

"Can't you wait! We're gonna be cheerleaders aren't you excited!" Kacie says to me with excitement.

"Nope, I'm practically jumping for joy," I say in monotonous voice.

"I know right," Kacie agrees not catching the sarcasm in my last comment.

"Alright Ladies, I'm Mrs. Mulligan. Everyone out in the middle of the gym." A booming voice announces. I get up slowly, but Kacie drags me with her as she practically runs to the middle.

"I'll be yelling out tricks I want you to do, and if you can't do them tell me, don't hurt yourself. Got it!" She informs us. Everyone nods.

"Okay, good! Now I'll be calling you out by last name. You can leave once you finish. You have to do all the tricks on my list. There are 10 tricks! I'll be starting with the A's!" She looks down at her list.

"Kiara Anders will be first! The rest of you go sit down!"

I stay where I am. Once everyone goes to sit down I walk to the middle, right in front of Mrs. Mulligan

"We'll start you out easy! Splits!"

I do it easily.

I do cartwheels, handstands, split jumps, front and back walkovers, back-handsprings, round off back handspring layout, and standing tucks perfectly.

"Okay, last one! Punch Front!"

I take a deep breathe. I go for it. I flip through the air and tumble. Once I land it I look at the teacher. She looks impressed.

"Great work, Kiara!" She smiles.

I go to my group of friends and sit down. They look shocked.

"I've been taking gymnastics since I was 7," I simply say. They all nod in understanding and watch as the next girl goes up.

It's Kacie's turn. She has done everything except the Punch Front. That move is really not her best. I hope she doesn't fall her face.

"Punch Front, please!" Mrs. Mulligan says.

I suck in a breathe.

She does is pretty good at it, until the end where she fumbles a bit. Ooh.

She looks at me for me reassurance. I give her smile and two thumbs up. Then she looks at the teacher.

"Good try! We'll work on perfecting that end though!" Mrs. Mulligan says. Holy shit she made the team. This has been her dream. I'm so proud of her. We all hug her as she comes close to us.

"You did it!" I squeal.

We walk out of the gym and head towards the parking lot.

"I think ice cream is very good idea right now!" I say as we walk outside.

"Yassss!" Kacie and Tana both scream.

"Let's go!" I say and we all start running towards Kacie's car. But someone grabs me by the waist and picks me up.

"And where do you think your going?" Aiden says as he holds me still in front of him by the waist.
