A False Sense of Security

Chapter 28

There are only 6 bumper cars so Adrienne, Iyari, Katie, Molly, Aiden, and I were the only ones in the cars.

We bumped each other around until the buzzer rang and it was time to get out of the cars.

Aiden got out of his car and rushed over to me to help, which I didn't need. He still grabbed my hand anyway and made sure I got down alright.

I walked over to Iyari and her friends. "You guys should sit with us at lunch on Monday. Our group usually sits outside on the bleachers."

"Totally!" Iyari accepts and we say goodbye. Aiden and I left bumper cars and moved onto another attraction.

We went to the swing ride next. I was leaned into Aiden the whole time. We were both laughing and having fun. It was amazing.

"So, are you hungry?" He asks as we get off.

"Sure, what do you have in mind?" I ask.

"I was thinking we sit down on a bench and grab food here," He suggests.

"Sounds great!" I agree.

We walk to a food stand and get in line. I look at the menu and decide what I want right away.

"Why don't you find a bench close by and I'll order the food. What do you want?" He asks.

"I'll take a corn dog with fries and a water." I answer and start out on my journey of finding a clean bench.

I found one over looking the water. It was a beautiful sight. I decide, while I wait for the food, I'd check in Tana and Kacie.

Me: Hey!

T: So how's the date????

Me: Great!

KC: EEEEEEEKKKKK!!!!!!!

Me: Calm down, I can basically hear your  screaming from here!

T: I can actually hear her screaming and it's deafening

Me: I'm sorry to hear that

T: I'm sorry I can't hear anything!!!!

I look up and see Aiden heading toward me with food.

Me: Got to go!

T: Have fun!

KC: Love ya!

"Hey!" Aiden says sitting next to me.

"Hey," I reply. "Sorry, but I get kind of worried with them so,"

"I understand and it's fine," He reassures me. "Nice spot you picked,"

I nod and we start digging into my food.

We talk and laugh while we eat. When we finally finish, we decide to go on the boat ride.

When we get off the ride it's dark out and it's 8:00. We decide to go do a carnival game.

Aiden brings me over to a game where you throw a ball at a clown and try to knock it down. If you knock five down you get a prize.

"Ladies first," He says and gestures me to go first.

I'm pretty good at pitching, so I think I can win this.
