"Hey, Kiara!" Aiden says with a smug smile. "So, what were you two talking about?"

"Nothing important," Tana says saving my ass from the awkwardness.

"Oh, but I think it was," He says.

"How can you think? You don't have a brain!" Tana retorts. I giggle a little.

"Don't worry, I'll get it out of you later," He looks at me. I face palm and groan.

"I know, you can't wait that long, huh, Kiara," He teases. I roll my eyes.

"Oh don't you worry, I'm a very patient person," I reply.

"How do you think she's gone so long without having sex," Tana states.

"What do you mean?" He asks.

"Many guys from our old school have tried to get with Kiara! I mean have you seen her!" Tana explains. Oh No. You better shut the fuck up, Tana. I give her a look.

"So, she just probably wasn't ready. That doesn't prove your point on how she's patient," He points out.

"Oh, if you heard any of that conversation before, you would know she's been ready. She is just waiting for the right guy. And you might just be him." Tana answers. I'm going to murder her.

"Okay, I think I'm gonna go look at the fountain, or try and drown myself in it." I get up and walk towards the center of the mall.

"Kiara!" I hear someone call, but it definitely isn't Aiden.

I look towards the voice and my stomach drops. It's Zander and he's a couple feet away from me. I step back.

"Get away from me!" I say in a serious tone and walk off. He follows me and grabs my arm. He turns me around so I'm facing him and looks deep into my eyes. The eyes I used to melt for just leave me cold and numb, now.

"Let go of me!" I glare at his eyes. They seem confused. Probably because he doesn't realize I'm not affected by him anymore.

I stomp on his foot and he unhands me. I walk to a bookstore near by and go in.

I calm myself by looking at the selections. I come across Pride and Prejudice. I go over to a table and start to read it.

I'm halfway through the book when someone sits down. I look up and find a girl. She has long black hair, brown, tan skin, and brown eyes.

"Your that new girl who's joining track right?" She asks. She must be from Hank Smith.

"Yeah, why?"

"I just wanted to see if you were a bitch like MiKayla," She simply states.

"I am a bitch, but I don't think I'm mean girl bitchy." I joke, but not really. She smiles.

"I like you! What's your name?" She asks.

"I'm Kiara, who are you?" I answer.

"I'm Iyari," She replies.

"Cool name!" I say.
