To Belong-Daughter
"I'm still you brother-"
"Half brother, Josh, no more okay?" I cut him off as he tried to talk to me. He took me into his room when I came here. Only for Tobi.
"You're still in my blood, we share DNA Macy, you can't go against that." He tried to catch my gaze.
"Every time I look at you I think of the person who abandoned me before I was born, you don't know what that's like." I shook my head, looking to the ground.
"I didn't, I- we- took you from that hell hole of a foster family." He struggled to find words to reason with me.
"You guys are just as fucking bad as them!" I barked.
"They beat you for years Macy!" He yelled in response.
"And you didn't, not straight away, you waited and waited until I was vulnerable and then you broke me down." I fought with my own voice, with every word, it became more strained, fighting against sobs.
"You have permanent damage on your body because of them!" He continued to yell, motioning to my torso, where the burn mark was.
"They weren't seven fucking adult men, were they?" I lowered my voice. "They weren't blood related, they didn't groom me and they didn't break my trust as much as you guys did." My voice was just about audible and I stared intensely at the cream carpet covered floor.
"Macy..." He tried to place a hand on my arm.
"No." I glared at him before turning away from him and opening the oak double doors. Two men tumbled in clumsily.
"O-oh sorry." Simon gathered himself up and stood awkwardly as Josh and I glared at him.
"Fuck you guys." I spat through my teeth before pushing past Vik and Simon, jogging down the stairs and out the front door.
