Millie's p.o.v
"The jello was good but that's about it, I was worried for my diet a little in there, thought I'd turn into jello by the time I got out." Aine widened her eyes comically at the children that swarmed her in the main room of the compound. Laughter erupted from the children. It had been two weeks since she had woken, a week since she had gotten out of hospital and was mainly meant to be on bed rest not that she was listening to that advice.
"It's not bad food at all. I've stayed in that hospital before, Princess" Buck mocked her.
'Excuse me Buck, I am no princess. If I was where is my castle?" Aine pretended to be outraged, causing more boisterous laughter to erupt out of the children.
"You need a prince to have a castle" Layla's little girl, Mia, shared. Aine looked at her and smiled.
"Whelp, there you go, no prince means no castle which means I'm no princess" Aine stuck her tongue out at Buck causing chuckles to sound from the adults in the room this time. Her childishness knew no bounds.
"I'll be your prince, Aine" Rush, Mia's twin said shyly.  Warmth spread through Aines face showing off her natural beauty.
"Don't think I've ever gotten an offer that good in my life" Aine grinned over at me amused.
"Hard too in your line of work" it was said quietly, you wouldn't have heard it unless you were really listening but Switchs words were ones that sucked the amusement right out of Aines face. She'd heard him just like myself and the other members standing close did.
"Think it's time I head home to sleep now anyways,  big day ahead of me tomorrow" Aine chirped up, refusing to acknowledge Switchs comment.
"What's tomorrow?" Fiachra spoke up and Aine shrugged.
"Don't know yet but either way it'll be big" she winked at him. "Walk me out, Millie oh my?" She asked even though it was irrelevant because she couldn't yet drive in her condition so lifts everywhere needed to be organised.
"Course" I answered anyways and we said our goodbyes. Standing up she linked arms with me for support and slowly we make our way out of the compound.
"Such a pretty day" Aine commented and looking around I took in that it was. Clear skies above us, the sun heating our skin.
"Splitting the rocks" I agreed.
"Tá an ghrian ag scoilteadh na gcloch" she spoke out in Irish clearly, laughing to herself. "God I miss home sometimes, don't you? We should go back for a visit" she said softly leaning into me.
"When the weather's nice" I agreed on a joke and her laugh twinkled through the open space outside. As beautiful as Ireland is on a sunny day, those days unfortunately were far and few between.
"I'm serious" she grinned.
"I know and we will at some point, when things settle down" I smiled back.
"You mean when you and your hunk settle more into your new house yeah? Can't believe I haven't seen it! Have you messed around in every room yet?" She wagged her eyebrows at me and I knocked shoulders with her, prompting another laugh from her.
"You were on bedrest, your body couldn't take that much exertion" I said as I helped her into the passenger seat.
"look at you avoiding my question. I'm taking that as a no, which means I'm babysitting Fiachra soon. Girl you need you break in that house, your body can take that much exertion" heat broke out across my cheeks making her grinned cheekily and winked dramatically at me.
"Millie" Cuts call for me saved me from having to reply and I turned to see him walking toward us. I couldn't help but check out how well his faded jeans clung to his hips. Or how his white tee inside his cut showed off his muscled stomach, a stomach I had become very familiar with in the last two weeks.
"Back to the house tonight yeah?" He asked softly catching a strand of my hair that had fallen from my pony tail, he tucked it behind my ear. I nodded my head, too focused on watching him watch his hand touch my hair to reply.
"I'm taking Fiachra during the week for a few nights" Aine declared, breaking the moment as Cuts eyes shifted to look at her.
"Appreciate it, if you want to" he grinned softly.
"Oh pleasures all mine" she smirked knowingly and Cut looked between the two of us. I schooled my expression into one of innocence and he shook his head at us in bewilderment before kissing my forehead and moving away.
"Drive safe, I'll finish up with the club here and me and Fiachra will head home." He spoke over his shoulder. Closing Aines door I round the car and got in. We were on the road listening to music lost in our own thoughts when Aine spoke.
"I suppose it'll be more yours won't it, I feel like Cuts a man that makes that so" I turned to looked at her.
"What?" She moved her gaze from out her window to me.
"All that pleasure, I said it's all mine but I have a feeling it'll be yours" she threw her head back laughing at her own ridiculous joke.
"You need help" I laughed focusing back in the road just glad she was feeling well enough to be laughing.

It was late by the time I pulled up to the witch's house, which had now become mine, Cuts and Fiachras home. At first me and Cut had argued about bringing Fiachra into this. My point was that we were only getting back onto the same page and that it was too soon to introduce it to Fiachra. Cut didn't agree and made that quiet known before storming out of the house and not returning for hours.
By the time he did return I was in the kitchen cooking dinner. He had strolled into the kitchen with Fiachra at his side.
"This is it, Bud. Your rooms at the top of the stairs, at the end of the left hall." He had said and I had dropped the wooden spoon I was holding. My mouth had dropped open in shock as I watched frozen as Fiachra took everyhing in. Focusing on me he had smiled hugely.
"Mom this is great. Dad said we all get to live here together, and I have my own room!" He had balled his fisted up in joy as I  had balled mine up for a whole other reason, narrowing my eyes on Cuts cocky smile.
"Bud, do me a favour and go check out the place, I need a minute with your Dad" I had muttered and his excitement so vast, Fiachra hadn't picked up on my anger whatsoever, he simply ran from the room.
Having waved my wooden spoon at Cut, I had snapped, "I cannot believe you!" To which he had grinned back, crossing his arms over his chest, making his biceps stand out.
"Baby" was all he had said back.
"Baby? Baby? Don't you baby me, Darling. We had an agreement that we would wait" I had scoffed. He had shook his head in amusement at me.
"No we didn't. I said yes to it" he had stated back to me.
"And I said no..." I had left that hang like I had make my case, which I had. He had raised his eyebrows at me but didn't reply.
A massive bang from upstairs had us both looking toward the door.
"I'm okay!" was yelled down the stairs two seconds later.
"For god sake go check what's he at. Then set yourselves down in the dining room, dinner is ready" I had snapped turning back toward the oven. That night solidified us in the house.  Fiachra fell in love wih the garden and with the space he had. He was so proud to show the place off when Layla had brought her kids around to see it, he kept claiming it was his 'families home now'.

Now as I make my way up the path to the front door I took in the exterior of the house. The living room light was on letting me know where I would find Cut, I knew Fiachra was in bed as it was well past his time.
I locked the door up behind me and make my way into the livingroom.
"Hey, Honey" I whispered, seeing Cut sprawled out on the couch, arm thrown back behind his head, one foot up on the table with a football match playing on the TV.
"Baby" he whispered back, his eyes on me.
"It's late, I'm going to go to bed" I continued on a whisper.
"Sit with me a bit" he said back softly reaching a hand out toward me.
Slowly I made my way over to him and cuddle close into his side my cheek resting above his heart. He wrapped me up in his arms.
"Your girl good?", He asked and I nodded, "Good."
We watched the game for awhile, me having no clue what was going on as American football really wasn't my thing. Gaelic football I knew, but all this padding and "hut hut" was jibberish to me.
"Job opening down at the hospital" Cut commented taking my focus once again.
"Yeah?" I mumbled.
"Should look into it baby, you were a great nurse, they'd be lucky to have you. Spoke to a friend in there and got you an  interview if you want it.
His numbers on the fridge" Cut said softly but I didn't reply. My head was stuck on what he had said.
His number is on the fridge.
Fridge. Our fridge,  mine and Cuts.
"Eight years" I whispered. I felt Cut stiffen before shifting under me to  catch my eye.
"What baby?" He said confused.
"Eight years waiting to share a fridge with you" I said softy and watch the effect of my words play out on his face. He dipped his head down to give me a kiss that was soft and sweet and so fucking good. He lifted his head a second later.
"Think about it, the offers there" he went on looking back toward the TV while I rested my head back on his chest.
"I will" I said and not long after felt sleep take a hold of me. Later I woke in our bed, Cuts body curled around mine, holding me close even in his sleep. I had noticed since our reunion, so to speak, he had become very touchy. Anytime I was near him I had to be within arms reach and if that was not close enough Cut would either move me or himself to make it that way.
We weren't  perfect in any sense of the word. There were still shards of glass that would leave wounds in both of us, usually it would be something Fiachra would say about a time when Cut wasn't there but should have been or at the mention of something Fiachra had done in his time with Cut and Jessica.
Sometimes it was just the reality of where we were now that would cause a pain to tear through my stomach because I knew that now I had what I had always wanted, there was no way I would survive if I lost it.
"Eight years" I whispered to no one and shuffled back into Cut. As his arms once again pulled me tight to him I threw the negative worries from my mind and drifted off to sleep.
