6. The ride

          It was 8 p.m on friday evening and I had just finished my assignment. I have exactly an hour left before I had to leave for the party at Matt's place. Which was more than enough time considering I've already washed my hair this evening after classes. I did it before starting my assignment so that I don't have to worry about it being all moist later. I don't use the blow drier since it gives me a headache.

        It was surprisingly easy to convince Mon about the party. But that might have been because of her trials to set me up with Jace. That girl doesn't give up. However since it worked out in my favor I wasn't complaining. I' pretty excited about Mon and Matt actually. I'm sure they would make a cute couple. My match making skills were pretty epic if I say so myself. So lets see how long they'll last before they give in.

      I put my stuff away on the study table and walked to my wardrobe.The doors of my wardrobe were sliding ones and they all have mirrors on the front. So one whole side of my room is like a mirror wall. There were six roof length mirrors and that's one of the main reason I chose this place. I fell in love at the first sight.

      Since it was an indoor event I decided to swap my jeans today even though it was mid winter. I decided on a black skirt that reached a few inches above my knees and a maroon top with sleeves that reached just below my elbows. I chose a cute black sling bag and black lace boots and accessorized the outfit with a metal necklace.I let my hair down and applied minimum make up.(Please check out the picture.Not sure if I was descriptive enough.)I wasn't going to dress up too much for a house party. I just hoped I wouldn't be under dressed.

     I was done in 20 minutes and I had half an hour to kill. I decided to watch an episode of friends and paint my nails when my phone rang. I saw that it was Aaron calling and put it on speaker and started painting my nails nude.

    "Hey. Sup?" I heard many voices in the back ground shouting over each other. My friends sure behaved like monkeys at times. "Hey Dumbo.Nothing much.Painting my nails to kill time before the party. " I answered loudly to be heard over all the voices.

    "So you really are going to this party?" I could hear the disapproval in his voice and I could picture him shaking his head.Aaron didn't really get why we were going to a party where we barely knew anyone. But I was set on being cupid today. "Yes Aaron.Matt is a nice guy and you know Jace. And anyways we are going to stay there just for a couple of hours.So it'll be fine." I assured him knowing he was just worried.He let out a long sigh but let it go.

     "What are you up to?" I asked curious about all the noise. "Me and the guys are at the arcade. I called to see if you wanted to come bowling but seeing as you are too busy to hang out with us I'll just tell the guys you miss them too." He was trying to make me feel guilty. And it was working. "I'm sorry Aaron. I promise we'll hang out tomorrow. Lets go the stupid movie you guys wanted to see. We'll have dinner out." I hoped this would make him happy.

    "Awesome. Sounds like a plan. I'll let everyone know. But you take care okay? Call me anytime if you have some problem." He sounded considerably happy after our plans for tomorrow. "Sure.Don't worry about it. You guys have fun tonight. I'll see you tomorrow okay? " It was becoming hard for him to hear me with all the noise so he cut the call saying take care.
