20.The almost kiss

Hey guys.How's it going?

I wouldn't say it's going good for me because from the past two weeks my exams have been going on and I'm really tired. Its hard to concentrate and write a chapter when your head is full of random information swimming around but if you are a medical student your exams are always going on so I decided to be a good author(feels weird to say it) and write. So here you go. Hope you like and enjoy reading the chapter.

Ever since I was a kid I've always wondered if I was living someone else's life. Because when you are a 4 year old you believe whatever crap your older sibling feeds you. Especially if the said sibling is an evil mastermind that held a PhD in manipulation at the ripe age of 8 years. My elder sister was a force to be reckoned with. Whatever she wanted she would have it. Even if it meant making your five year old younger sibling walk in your mother's three inch gold heels on the street resulting in the neighbor's dog chasing the poor kid down the street. Yea, my childhood was traumatic. So anyways with a sister like that it's no wonder you believe her when she says that you were exchanged as a baby at the hospital because she didn't like the other kid. She would blackmail me that she would contact the Chinese family and ask them to take me back.I was such a dumb kid back then. But after you are no longer a dumb kid and stop believing the stupid stuff your siblings tell you(at the age of 13) you kind of relax .

The reason behind the uncalled and unnecessary flash back is that I've never wished so much for my sister's lie to be true. At least then I would be in China eating delicious Chinese food than in the stuffy cupboard waiting for Matt to make way for me to leave. He doesn't look like he's going to move anytime soon though.

Neither of us had a legit answer for Matt's question. Actually we do but it sounds incredibly lame and made up even though that's the truth. Stupid Jace and his impulsive actions. The silence was very awkward for us while Mon and Matt were beyond amused. I can see from Mon's smirk that she has a fully scripted story already made up in her mind about our current situation. She's just waiting for the moment we were both alone so she could tease me about it.

A moment passed and Matt was feigning impatience by tapping his foot on the floor and trying to crack us with his 'tell me now or else' face. Ha! As if we would fall for it. Before my thought ended Jace decided to crack. "Eva wanted to make out.In the closet." He blurted out in one breath with a passive expression.

"What?" I stared at him incredulously. Is he for real?

"I thought you guys were classier than this. There's an empty room right next door." The amusement was clear in Matt's smug face.

"No.He's lying." "Tell that to her." We both spoke at once and I was seconds away from hitting Jace on his stupid head. Is he on drugs? What's he talking about?

"Seriously Jace? First you force me to have dinner with you, then you stuff me in your closet causing me to have an almost panic attack the you tell them that I wanted to make out with you? " I was baffled with the guy.

"Hey at least the food was good and don't think I haven't noticed you sniffing my clothes." He responded defensively.

"What? Are you insane? I was too busy trying to breath. Sniffing your stupid clothes was the last thing on my mind." I was truly speechless now. This guy is impossible.

Whatever stupid response Jace has planned by Mon's wary voice. "Guys chill. Let's get you out of there first and we can calmly discuss what happened." She looked at Matt for help and he moved out of the way gesturing us follow behind him.

A couple minutes later we were all seated in the living room. Me and Mon on the couch and Matt and Jace took the love seat. The TV was set on mute I assume by the crazy Chloe.We were all silent. While Mon and Matt were staring at us curiously I was trying my best to avoid everyone's gaze. This wasn't what I signed up for when I decided to go out for a quick bite.
