The Dinner

(Y/n) P.O.V

"Are you ready yet?!" I shout impatiently. "Almost....and Done!" Mom shouts walking down stairs with jay and shadow. "Ok good you didn't go over board. It's just a casual dinner so no need for fancy stuff." I say bluntly. "So...are you and Laurence, dating?" My Mom asks slyly. Shadow gives me an evil smile. "Why in fact-" DING DONG. Saved by the bell. "Coming." I say. I open the door to see Laurence. "Laurence! Great, before we head out, can I speak to you?" I grit through my teeth. "Yeah sure." He responds. I drag him outside. "So I kinda haven't told my mom we're dating." I whisper. "What?" He whisper yells. "Hayden already knows and so does cadenza...obviously." Laurence mumbles. "Let's just tell her now and get this over with." I mutter. We walk back in. "Mom I need t- we, need to tell you something important." I say correcting myself. "Oh what is it?" She asks turning to us. Wow she is totally clueless. "Well Laurence and I are...dating!" I mumble nervously. Laurence adds in a little "yay!" My mom just stares at us for a minute. "Hmmmm, well I don't see a problem with you dating the son of our closest partners...for now." She says circling Laurence like a hawk. "My father said it was ok." Laurence mutters. Wow that's the first time he's ever called Hayden his father. "Well if it's ok with Hayden then it's ok with me, I guess. I like you anyway." She cheers. I just giggle. "Oh this is for you, you look lovely by the way." Laurence compliments giving me a rose. "Well thank you kind sir, shall we be going?" I ask linking arms with him. "We shall, come everyone I will be your guide." He says jokingly. I giggle a little. We walk to his house which was literally a 1 minute walk. He opens the door for us. "Please make yourself at home." He says. We take off our shoes and mom goes to help Hayden with the dinner. Laurence shows jay how to play this brand new video game he got. And I talk to cadenza about this big time deal the band got. "So I don't know what we should do. Everyone has a say in this, and I don't know what to say." I mumble. "Well, I don't know what to tell you. I can't choose for you. It's your life, and I'm not going to influence you decision. I support you all the way!" She shouts hugging me. "Thanks." I smile. "Kids! Dinner!!" My mom cheers. Everyone comes to the table sits down and starts to eat. "So Hayden did you hear about (Y/n), and how the Nightcore band got a record deal?" My mom asks. He shakes his head. "I was not aware of this." He simply says before shoving a mouthful of spaghetti in his mouth. "Yeah well we haven't decided what to do yet." I mumble. I look at Laurence and he just smiles. "Tough choice, this is a big chance for you guys, but you also have so much right here. Man I'd hate to be in your shoes!" He chuckles. "Heh yeah..." I murmur. "Guess what mom. Laurence showed me this super cool new video game called BuildCraft. It's so cool!" Jay exclaims with excitement. "Yeah I guess it is." Laurence chuckles. "Glad to see you boys getting along." Mom says cheerfully. I just smile and continue to eat. We talk some more about how school and work is and how business is doing. Then a rather uncomfortable conversation. "So will the Zvahls and the
(L/n)'s become one some day?" Hayden teased. "Uhhh what does that mean?!" I question nervously. "He means marriage sweetheart!" Mom giggled. Laurence nearly choked on his drink. "I'm sorry marriage?" He questions giving them the 'are you crazy' look. "Yeah I'm with Laurence, we're still in high school!! We don't even need to think about thinking about that!" I somewhat shout. "Oooohh someone's getting embarrassed~" shadow teased. I knew my face was tomato red. "Shut up!" I yell. "Then there's grandkids." Mom said holding in a laugh. This time cadenza, me, and Laurence spit out our drinks. "KIDS?!" Me and Laurence yelled. Then we looked at each other and our faces turned bright red. "I'm good! I don't want to be a teen mom!" I yelled. "I don't think I can handle having kids at the moment." Laurence mumbled. "Please we're just kidding!" They say at the same time. (Ha I put a pun in there. I'm just KIDding, but your welcome ;3)
Then they both started laughing. "I don't get it." Jay mumbles. "It's ok. One day you will!" I say nervously. Everyone finished eating so we decided to go hang out in the living room for a bit. "Have you kissed yet?" Mom asked. "Yeah?" I answer. She squeals. "Have you done...anything else?" Hayden says wiggling his eyebrows. I turn red. "No!" Laurence shouts. "I still don't get it!" Jay yells. Shadow walks up to him. "Be quiet child!" She whisper yells. I get tired of the 100 questions so I give Laurence a kiss. Not long, just long enough to distract the parents so we can escape. My mom squeals and then goes crazy and Hayden tries to calm her down. I grab Laurence's hand and rush into his room. I close and lock the door. "Finally!" I whisper. "Now we don't have to deal with them." Laurence sighs. He flops on his bed. I glance over at him then smirk. "Well what do you wanna do now?" I mumble walking over to the bed. "Oh I don't know..." he trails off. "There's nothing that comes to mind~" I whisper. I then get on the bed and sit on him. He semi sits up.
