CHAPTER 35

"Hello."

"Hi Sheena."

"Mel, do you have any idea what time it is?"

"Damn! I'm sorry. Go back to sleep and I'll phone later after I work out the time difference."

"I'm awake now, so you might as well tell me what's wrong." Sheena felt grumpy being woken at 3am. Crystal had irritated her the previous day. She felt frustrated; wanted to help but didn't want to interfere. Should she tell Cirrus where Melanie was or not?

When her and Dante played that night, her mind was not in control of her emotions and she had let him go further than she'd ever done before. Her nipples were painfully sensitive from the clips and her sex felt bruised and raw from the outer folds to her inner depths.

While Melanie spoke, Sheena listened half-heartedly, taking a sip of water from the glass on her bedside table. Her lips felt swollen and tender to touch. Holding her phone in her left hand she flicked on the switch of the lamp with her right hand and noticed the two codeine tablets in the pill holder next to her alarm clock. She smiled, her Master thought of everything, including a note to remind her to drink her vitamin K juice in the morning. How thankful she was to be in his hands last night. He was the one who stopped play, even though he was so fiercely aroused. After he'd bitten her lips and drawn blood he stopped immediately, even though his shaft was still buried deep inside her. He'd taken her face in his hands and licked the blood from her lips, kissed her closed eyelids and said her safe word. He'd disentangled himself from her body and cradled her in his arms. No words were spoken between them and she fell into a deep sleep in his arms.

Sheena was vaguely aware of what Melanie was saying. Her mind was on Dante and how fiercely they had played. She knew she had done wrong and he would deal with her later; the reason he had not stayed the night. What would her punishment be?

"Sheena? Sheena, are you there?"

"Sorry Mel. I have a nightmare headache. Can I call you back later? I can't even think straight right now and nothing you've said makes sense to me, my head is just too sore."

"I knew I should have let you go and called later. Sorry Sheena. Please give me a call when you feel better and have time."

"I will. Bye for now."

"Bye and I'm sorry to wake you. I promise to check times before I call again."

Cirrus stared into his coffee cup. "I really hate this coffee. It tastes like mud. We really need to find a new coffee shop with decent coffee."

Crystal pulled his cup away from him. "Why don't you order something else then. What about herbal tea?"

"Pass! I don't do tea."

"Okay, then what about an iced coffee or an iced tea?" Crystal called the waitress over and ordered and iced tea and an iced coffee. "My treat." She said to Cirrus. "Now you can sample both and decide which one you prefer or not."

"Thanks Crystal. I'm glad we met and became friends."

"Me too. We probably would've have been compatible playmates if it weren't for Melanie."

"Maybe but my heart belongs to her, my soul and body too. When she left, she sucked the life out of me and left this empty broken shell. I must get her back Crystal. I need her to make me feel whole again."

"And if she agrees to come back but on her terms ..."

"I will give up everything for her. I will change my ways. Close the door on my BDSM lifestyle just to have her back in my arms, my life. I want to spend the rest of my life with her, marry her and have children together. I'd live anywhere in the world if she is by my side."

"Well then, we must find her."

"We?"

"Of course, I'm going to go with you to Australia. Two people searching for her is better than one."

"I appreciate your help but how can we be hundred percent sure she is in Australia? It's a long way to go and discover she is not there."

"Didn't you just say you'd go anywhere in the world to be with her?"

"Well yes, but ..."

"No buts Cirrus. I feel strongly that Australia is the best place to start. Unfortunately, Sheena hasn't been at the club in over a week. When I asked about her, I was told she was in bed fighting off some sort of viral infection."

"And Dante?"

"I've seen him at the club in the evenings but I believe he is not there during the day and possibly with Sheena."

"Maybe you could visit Sheena at home and possibly find out where in Australia we can start looking.

"Fingers crossed, she will tell me. I did ask her to think about letting you know where Melanie was so you could both talk and find some sort of closure and either get back together or move on with your lives."

"You did? What did she say?"

"Just that Melanie needed to finish her training and didn't need any disruptions."

"Then she must be working in a hospital in Australia." Cirrus took out his phone and tapped the Google app. "Maybe, just maybe ..."

"What are you doing?"

"Crystal, don't you refer to google when you're trying to find something?"

"Well yes, but do you think you'll actually find out what hospital she is working in through Google?"

"It's worth a try."

Crystal held her breath while Cirrus typed in Melanie's name. Would technology really be able to trace which hospital she was working in, in Australia.

Cirrus was silent as he stared at the information on his phone.

"Well?" Crystal was becoming impatient with his silence. Why was he just staring at his phone and not saying anything? "Cirrus, dammit! What have you found? Don't leave me hanging like this?"

"Why didn't I think of doing this ages ago?"

"What?" Crystal was no so impatient she snatched the phone out of his hands and couldn't believe her eyes. Google had found Melanie. In black and white, her whereabouts were confirmed.

MELANIE McKINNEY – nurse, Perth Royal Hospital. Daughter of the late Edward McKinney and joint owner with Cirrus Ballinger of UK's largest race horse stables.

Crystal couldn't believe her eyes. After all this time wasted. All he had to do was Google. "Why the hell didn't you do this in the first place?"

Cirrus shrugged his shoulders. "I honestly don't know. It just never occurred to me, till now."

"Well don't waste any more time. Book the flights and let's go find your wife to be."
