My hands were shaking, and I almost couldn't believe my eyes. Ate Prie is calling me. I couldn't remove my eyes from the flashing screen of my phone, and I couldn't hear Maddie's question until she dragged herself beside me and leaned towards my phone screen.

"Park, Alodia Spring," she read out loud, she leaned backward and she looked at me, "Sino 'yan?"

Still, in shock, I answered, "My sister, she's my sister."

Even without looking at Maddie, I can see that she's smiling.

"Oh, ano pang hinihintay mo? Sagutin mo na!"

I wanted to, really badly, but my fingers won't move. I'm scared, very scared of what she'll say. My sister barely calls me on the phone, unless she needed something from me. But she's calling me right now, what does she want now?

"I'm scared," I whispered.

"Ano ka ba, kapatid mo 'yan."

In a blink of an eye, Maddie slides my phone, answering ate Prie's call.

"What did you—"

But before I could say anything, Maddie moved my hand toward my ear and I heard my sister said, "Hi'ya, what'cha doin'?"

I didn't know what to do, she sounded so happy and excited on the other end of the line.

"What do you need?"

I tightly closed my eyes, as I realized what I just told her. Darn it, Sam! How did you ended up asking that? You're so stupid!

"Wow!" she chuckled, "I just wanted to talk to you, Sammy. You're my sister after all; you have to expect me calling you sometimes."

"Of course, I know that." I nervously answered.

I could feel Maddie's eyes observing me at kung ano ang mga salitang sasabihin ko sa kapatid ko, and I don't like it. I feel like I'm being judged.

I stood up and I put my phone on my chest, "I was just thinking, could you give me a moment alone in the room, please?" I asked Maddie who is shocked of what I said.

But she just brushed it off and she smiled from ear to ear, "Of course."

The moment she left and closed the door, I hurriedly placed my phone back in my ear.

"'Yo, sissy. You there?"

"Yeah, I'm sorry. I'm here."

"So, how's your day so far? How's the camp? Marami parin bang tao?"

"My stay is going well so far and yeah, there are a lot of people, a LOT of people."

"Are you being sarcastic?" She giggled, "I can't tell, hindi ko kasi nakikita 'yang mukha mo. But that didn't sound right; you never liked crowded places, Sam."

I was taken aback from what I heard, and in a good way. Hindi ko ini-expect na alam ng kapatid ko 'yun, dahil nga we have this huge space between us. She's like 26 or something and she has a lot going on with her, she's too busy with her work and her projects and everynight she spends most of her time partying with her friends, getting drunk and everything, she barely had the time for me.

"I mean, I'm doing well actually. Napunta ako sa isang group, and I already like them... maybe, except for one. His name is Yuan, and he's kind of an ass. But I'm still adjusting and I still have a lot to learn."

"Wow, really? 'Yan na ata ang pinakamahabang linya na sinabi mo sa akin. I can see major improvements Sam, that's new. And I like it. Tell me more."
