24 - Goodbye

At 2:00 in the morning, I was still memorizing the script I had for our drama skit that would happen next week. I will be partnering up with Summer and it's best to do my best.

Why bother though if she will not acknowledge your feelings? I thought. She has Yuan-hyung now and everything just happened way too fast. I want to know what's going on inside her head that made her want Yuan-hyung.

Muntik na akong mapatalon sa kinahihigaan ko nang tumunog bigla 'yung bell sa labas. Pinapatunog lang ito every 8:30 AM para gisingin kami, but when I rechecked my clock it's just 2:02 AM.

What the hell is going on? I put on a pair of black sweatpants, hindi naman kasi pwedeng lumabas nang nakaboxers lang. Baka mamaya makita ko nalang picture ko sa internet.

Ginising ko 'yung dalawang roommate ko at saka sila kinaladkad palabas ng cabin. Everyone looked annoyed and irritated at the sound of the bell and the fact that it woke them up in the middle of the night. The lake was surrounded by half-asleep campers, and then I saw Summer in her morning look. She was the only one who stood out for me, wearing her oversized knitted sweater, she just looked cute. I have a lot of oversized clothes and jackets, I could already imagine her on them... which is just wrong.

"Campers!" An old lady shouted through the microphone making us squeal in annoyance. At her back was Nick-hyung, he stood there, hands clasped together and his head lowered, listening to the words that came out of his mother's mouth.

"I'm going to be straightforward, this summer might be the worse summer that I've seen." She stated full of rage as she walked pacing back and forth, "Ang daming nangyari! Una, nalaman namin na may nagiinuman sa loob ng camp. Pangalawa, may muntik nang malunod sa West shore. This week, may grupo na tumakas ng camp without any instructor's permission. Tapos kanina lang may nalaman ako na there are drugs and prostitutes, in my camp?!"

"Oh, shit." Ryan, one of the 'Rugby boys' sneakingly went back inside our cabin.

"How in the world did this happened?!" Mrs. Kim asked, rhetorically. "Everyone of you, lead me to no choice but to close this Summer camp."

Everybody was shocked with what they've heard which has effectively wake up the whole population of the Summer Camp. They started protesting.

"What the fuck?!" Jin hyung, shouted in disapproval. "Bro, lahat ng pinaghirapan natin dito sa summer camp na 'to mapupunta lang sa wala!"

"Not for me," A cold and familiar voice said from behind us. "I got myself a girl."

Lumingon kami, saka namin nakita si Yuan-hyung na kumindat sa direksyon namin bago umalis at naglakad papunta sa cabin nila Summer.

Summer was startled to see him. I watched her face turned red when he snake his arms around Summer's waist. Both of them were whispering to each other as Summer continued to respond him, shaking her head.

My eyebrows stitched as I saw a tear glistened from Summer's eyes before turning away from the crowd. She's crying... again. Yuan-hyung must've said something bad to her.

I've always looked up to Yuan-hyung as my role model and I feel like he knows a lot about life, but seeing him grabbing Summer's shoulders while letting her rest her head on his chest made me feel a little different.

I watched as her back rises up and down as she sobs, made me want to snatch her away from Yuan-hyung and treat her like how a royalty should be treated.

I tapped Trenz-hyung back a couple of times before I got his attention. He has been shouting against Nick-hyung's mom's decision.

"Ah?" He said, turning his head towards me, looking pissed.
