I hugged my knees hoping that'll suffice my need for warmth. Justin and I decided to wait for the rain to stop, and it's almost twenty minutes passed seven, hindi parin humuhupa ang ulan. We sat at the door's frame as we watch muddy puddles form from the ground. It was quiet and at the same time deafening, until Justin broke it.

"Sorry." He said as he exhales.

"For what?"

"'Yung nangyari sa'yo... banana boat."

"No..." I shook my head, "You don't have any reason to be sorry, Justin. You of all people. I mean, I should've listened to my sister. If someone has to be blamed, it's me."

"Sabagay." He cockily said, "Makinig ka kasi sa sinasabi ng nakatatanda sa'yo."

Napatingin nalang ako sa kaniya. A huge smile was plastered on his face as he watched the rain pour. It felt comforting for a while.

"I've learned my lessons, sir." I jokingly said.

"Saan galing ang mga galos mo?"

My heart skipped a beat upon hearing his question. Napatingin pa tuloy ako sa aking mga braso but they were covered by my long sleeves. Paano niya makikita 'yun? Was I too obvious? Was it because I was wearing too much long-sleeved shirts during summer at nahalata na nila?

I tucked my arms between my thighs and stomach, hoping that he shouldn't have opened up that topic.

I was taken aback with the sudden change of topic that I almost couldn't keep up with him. He's very unpredictable. I can't read him. Kanina lang parang snobbish-type siya, then he would sound concerned.

"Saan mo naman nahugot 'yan?" I said, trying to lighten up the atmosphere.

But all he gave me was a cold stare and a scoff.

"Pardon?" I raised an eyebrow at him. I did hear what he said but I just felt offended by it. He doesn't know anything about me, and heck, I don't know anything about him I even barely talk to him. How could he do that?

"You're just being rude!" I exclaimed, "What a jerk."

"Ganiyan ka ba magpasalamat?" Humarap siya sa akin with his annoyed face, at saka ko nakita na hindi pala nakasaksak sa isang tenga niya 'yung isang earbud.

"Wha-what?" I snorted, "Why should I thank you, it's not like I owe you any—"

"Iba na talaga ang mga anak-mayaman. Mga walang utang na loob. Ganiyan ba ang mga sinasabi mo sa mga taong gusto lang makatulong sa'yo? Jerk? Rude?" I could hear anger from his voice. "Kaya pala walang gustong kumaibigan sa'yo, e. Tinataboy mo sila. Bakit? Dahil para sa'yo, ang mayaman ay para lang sa mayaman—"

"That has nothing to do with this! What are you even talking about?!" Word after word that came out from his lips angered me more by the second. My temper was flaring. Rage boiled through my body. I barely had the chance to think of my actions. But the only thought I have was to make him shut up.

"Tsk. Totoo nga ang sabi nila na like father, like daughter—"

A stinging pain spread through my palm as his head snapped to the side, a bright red hand mark showing the extreme of my force hit. It was then that I just realized that I have already slapped him.
