Eden's p.o.v
It definitely wasn't fun burning her body. It took a lot longer than usual, sense she was a hellhound. What was worse was sliding my daggers out of her corpse. Dean had offered to get them, but I had declined. I killed her, so it was my job to deal with the aftermath.
I was feeling better though, it was over now. I rushed because Pippy needed to get to the vet. There was little talk as I transferred to my motorcycle. The boys followed me in the car after searching up a vet near the bunker.
It didn't take nearly as long to get back as it did going there, mostly because of my breaking the speed limit. When we got to the vet, Pippy, like all of us were tired. She didn't put up much of a fight as the vet examined her.
"Her leg is broken," The vet said, confirming what we already knew, "How did this happen?"
"She got into a fight with another dog," Sam lied.
"Her leg got broken because she was in a fight with a dog?" The vet asked incredulously.
"It was a big dog," Dean replied with an annoyed expression on his face.
I elbowed him in the ribs, causing him to roll his eyes. The vet scanned her leg once more, writing something on a clipboard.
"Yes, well," He sighed, "She'll need a cast. You'll need to sign some paperwork."
"Alright," I said, taking the clipboard he was previously writing on and jotting down some information.
"What color cast do you want on her?" He questioned, petting Pippy's head calmingly.
"I'm not sure," I mumbled, then turning to Pippy, "What color cast do you want?"
Pippy barked, wagging her tail gently. The vet furrowed his eyebrows, but said nothing as I turned to him, having my answer.
"Purple," I answered him.
"Okay," He said, noting that on his clipboard, "We'll have to put her under anesthesia to get the cast on, otherwise she'd move around and it could injure her further."
"Alright," I accepted, signing the agreement he passed to me, "Should we go to the waiting room?"
"You could, but might take a few hours sense the bone is broken and not just sprained," He explained, "We have to maneuver her leg around so it won't hurt her to be in the cast. If you want, you could go run some errands or go home. We'll call you when she's ready for you to pick her up."
It took me a moment to decide. I didn't want to leave her, but it wouldn't help for me to be here because she would be asleep anyways. I bit my lip, then having an idea. If we left, we could go get her some toys and treats from the pet store.
"I've got to go get everything set up to put her under," The vet said suddenly as if he had just remembered.
After he left, I leaned down to Pippy, who was on the metal table. I pet her ear, looking into her eyes. She seemed calm.
"Are you alright if we leave for a bit while you go to sleep?" I asked.
She barked, her tail wagging. I smiled, because she was excited to get a cast. I think she's had broken bones before, and I'm pretty sure she was happy that for once someone was helping her with it. Not to mention all the attention she knew she was going to get after this.
"Okay," I settled with a reassuring smile, "We'll be back to pick you up. You've got nothing to worry about, the vet seems nice."
She licked my hand, not bothering to try and sit up because it would hurt her leg. The vet walked back in, a treat in his hand. A nurse followed, a smile on her face as she started to pet Pippy.
