Eden's p.o.v

"What?" I said, dropping the cup of tea I had made.

Gust immediately ran over, grabbing some paper towels and cleaning it. I bent down and started to help him. I looked up after pushing my hair behind my ear.

"Sorry," I muttered, "I just wasn't expecting that."

"I don't know what to do," He replied, glancing at Pippy, who was whining quietly.

"Well," I started, "You should go, obviously."

"What?" It was his turn to look up, shocked.

"This is what you've always wanted," I reasoned, trying to convince myself, "They're your family."

"You're my family," Gust fought.

"Of course we are," I agreed, "But so are they."

"I'm confused on what to do," He admitted with a sigh, "I want to stay here, really I do. But I want to go back too."

"I understand," I eased, "But they've finally accepted it. Surely they still love you. Think about the boy, your boy."

"What about Oliver?" He questioned.

"You can still visit," I offered.

I don't know why I was telling him to go. It's not that I wanted him to. Because that was the last thing I wanted, but this was his chance. He had explained to me a long time ago what happened between him and Mandy, how she made him leave.

I knew this is what he wanted, what he'd been longing for. Of course, I knew he loved us but it would be better there for him. Not having to worry about monsters and demons, just having to be with his family.

"Look," I started, "Why don't you just go meet them? See how they're doing, and then you can decide."

Gust sighed, running his hand through he thinning hair. He bit the inside of his cheek, then looking up to me and nodding.

"Okay," He conceded, then continued to clean up the mess I had made.

"What are you doing?" I questioned loudly, "Go on, you don't want to make them wait anymore."

"Right," He muttered, standing up.

"You can take one of the cars," I said, "We don't use them anyways. And get your packed bag for emergencies. It's under your bed. There's also some packed up lunches I made for Sam and Dean earlier this week, but you can take them."

"Eden," Gust chuckled sadly, "You're such a mom."

"Oh Hush," I quieted him, "Look happier! You're going back to your family!"

"You're talking like I'm not coming back," Gust pointed out as he returned to the main room with his stuff, "I haven't decided yet. Even if I do stay with them, I can visit."

"Right," I agreed with a smile.

He grinned, leaning down and hugging me. I held on tightly, then letting go. He walked to Pippy and crouched down, petting her gently. She whined, put her tail wagged anyways.

He sent one last look to us, and the last thing he saw was me smiling back at him urgingly. The second the door closed though, I let my smile fall. I let it fall because I knew. I knew that he would choose them, because he was loyal and caring, and everything that made me love him. I knew that he wasn't coming back. I knew this because when I got the call I knew I would get, I would do everything in my power to make sure he didn't get back to the danger of this life. Back to us.
