trigger warning- self harm attempted suicide

tyler was walking. he could see the stars.

whenever tyler walked, he needed help.

so much help.

but no one was there.

you're worthless.

he knew.

better off dead.

he knew.

as he ran his fingers through his hair, a drop of his own blood landed on his nose.

he couldn't do this anymore.

josh woke up. alone. tyler wasn't there. where did he go?

sunlight streamed through the windows, blinding josh.

tyler was in trouble. he knew something was wrong.

josh bolted out the door, his heart aching once again for tyler, to hold him and to kiss him and--

he ran so fast. faster than he ever had. he needed to see tyler. his breath was quick but he was quicker, moving street to street. and to the park. where a little kid was crying. because he saw something scary.

the child was pointing a chubby finger to the field, tears streaming down his cheeks.

"mommy what's that boy doing?" he sobbed.

josh was too scared to look. but the mother wasn't.

she gasped "oh my god." she pulled out her phone and dialed 911. "hello please send an ambulance."

josh finally built up the courage to look.

there, in the middle of the field was tyler. lying down in the grass. blood stained all his clothes and it was dried on his wrists. his eyes were shut.

josh sank to the ground.

why tyler?
