1. You gotta know your portions and watch what you eat. The problem isn't what you are eating. It's how much food you eat. And this is only for girls who are gaining weight and trying to lose it. Even healthy foods have calories and that can make you gain unwanted weight. My choir teacher says if you want to lose weight then you gotta eat less move more. If you eat to much you will gain weight. Knowing the correct portion size is important. So watch not only what you eat but how much you eat. Read the serving sizes,on nutrition labels. They might surprise you. The serving size for cereal is: one cup (two hands,cupped together. Cooked pasta is half a cup. So a,handful. Fruit is the size of a,tennis ball and three ounces of meat is a deck of cards. So focus on how much you eat and you will be fin and in shape for cheer try outs. And you can do cart wheels better.
Also here is something to put in your locker. Make a healthier homemade trail mix. As you should know, most store bought trail mixes have added sugars, sugary cereals and candied or salted nuts. Get muesli cereal and put it into a bag or make your own trail mix from scratch.
For breakfast you can,make your own healthy Sundae. With a banana, yogurt , nuts and or berries. And maybe some cool whip. And or dark chocolate.
