"So, how am I meant to kill him exactly?"
"You'll protect me as I'm killing number 13. I've observed number 1 very well with my spy. He'll come to save number 13 asking no questions."
"Yeah, but with what?"
"A sniper rifle. I don't need you and your little cosplaying act to make a scene at the Thanksgiving parade."
"C-Cosplaying?"
"Go, get some sleep now, I don't want you to have tired eyes when you're taking an aim at number one tomorrow."
"Yes sir."
...
It was Thanksgiving morning, approximately 6 A.M. Caleb combed his hair and sighed while looking in the mirror. His hands were shaking as he held a gun in his hand. He had to kill him or her. He didn't want to, but it would be for the best. Someone knocked on Caleb's door and Caleb put the gun down. He hid it in a drawer of his and opened his door.
"Hey yo Caleb happy Thanksgiving!" Christina shouted. Christina was standing next to Ariel who was shyly smiling.
"Shush, it's 6 A.M people are sleeping," Caleb whispered.
"Happy Thanksgiving Caleb," Ariel said smiling.
"Ariel? Wha-what happened to you? I haven't seen you since the hospital and you wanted to talk to Jonas," Caleb said.
"Mhm I've been busy, see it's just the usual family problems," Ariel said crossing her arms.
"Oh okay," Caleb mumbled. It didn't seem like a valid excuse, but Caleb wanted to accept it.
"I won't be spending time with my family though. I'm going over to Dawson's house," Ariel said winking.
"Ooh girl," Christina said with a smile.
"We're not officially an item yet, but I think he'll make his move soon," Ariel said nodding her head.
"Why don't you just make the first move?" Caleb asked. Ariel's face went red with embarrassment.
"Says you! I don't think I've ever seen you make a move on a single girl in your life!" Ariel shouted.
"You were homeschooled for a bit Ariel," Caleb irritatedly said.
"So admit it! I bet you've never even had your first kiss before," Ariel shouted.
"Shut up. It's 6 o'clock in the morning be more quiet," Caleb said flustered.
"I knew it," Ariel said with a confident smile.
"Well neither have you," Caleb said.
"That's cause I have an overprotective father! Gosh I was lucky enough to convince him to let me go to Dawson's house," Ariel said.
"Your father? I thought he was never around?" Caleb said.
"Well you know who I meant. I pretty much grew up with my uncle and my cousin Kaeli," Ariel said crossing her arms.
"Oh right! Didn't your mother commit suicide bec-" Christina tried saying but she was interrupted.
"Shut up," Ariel cried. Everyone went quiet for a bit as Caleb and Christina watched tears fall from Ariel's face. She stomped away quickening her pace.
"Did I say something wrong?" Christina asked.
"She's very sensitive about her family and has been for most of her life. She's never even mentioned her uncle's name to me. I think it's because she's scared to open up to people about that," Caleb said.
