Ethan held a cigar in his mouth as he looked down at his phone. He suddenly got a call which he looked at the caller id.
"What are you planning?" Ethan asked himself before he picked up the phone.
"We need to kill Yamil," the person said over the phone.
"My right hand? Are you kidding me?" Ethan asked standing up.
"Listen to me, I can kill him if you want, but he needs to die. I've discussed this with 14 and even they want Yamil dead. You don't want 14 completely flipping on you now do you? I think letting them make a decision will allow you to keep having 14 as your puppet," the person said over the phone.
"Turn on the video," Ethan said angrily.
"What?" The person asked over the phone.
"Are you trying to fucking fool me 14? You took his phone and used your little damn jacket. Listen I saved your life dammit you'd have no one by your side if it wasn't for me! You listen to my command and don't you dare try and killing Yamil," Ethan said. Someone else took the phone and Ethan went silent besides his heavy breathing.
"Listen Ethan, your little tyranny is being overthrown right now. You've killed enough people so either you can work with us or you can die. You're alone besides your little pal Yamil who may I just say has a smoking problem," the person said over the phone. Ethan went silent as he bit his lip.
"Fucking shitheads fine. I'll help you kill him," Ethan whispered angrily.
"Good, I wish the best of luck to you and 14," the person said over the phone. The person over the phone hung up and Ethan grasped the chair.
"How did they get his phone?" Ethan whispered. Ethan got up and walked over to the kitchen and someone rang the doorbell. Ethan walked over to the front of his house and opened the door. A girl with black hair stood at the door.
"Is Ariel here?" The girl asked looking around.
"Yeah she's in her room," Ethan said guiding the girl in. Ariel then walked down the stairs.
"Perfect timing Christina! Ethan this is my friend Christina," Ariel said walking downstairs.
"Cool, nice to meet you," Ethan said running his fingers through his hair.
"Wait father we wanted to discuss something," Ariel said.
"Father? You mean uncle right?" Christina asked.
"I like to call him father," Ariel said.
"What is it?" Ethan asked.
"We know who killed Kaeli," Christina said.
"Yes it was Jonas," Ethan said.
"No it was Yamil, see there was a cigarette left at the scene of the crime along with a scrap of his beanie see," Ariel said showing Ethan the evidence. Ethan groaned.
"Way to go junior detective I have a call to make," Ethan scowled stomping upstairs to his room. Ethan slammed the door and grabbed the home phone. He dialed the number 650-324-7233 and waited for the person to pick up.
"Hello? Why are you calling me Ethan?" the person asked over the phone.
"The deal is off," Ethan scowled hanging up the phone. Ethan grabbed a gun that was on the table and Ariel came up the stairs.
"What are you doing?" Ariel asked.
"That shithead. I told him to stop fucking smoking," Ethan yelled as he ran out of his room and out of the house.
...
"Look how everything is falling into place it's perfect." Someone whispered as they stroked a board with everyone's picture on it with red threads connected to different events.
"You even planned out your own death," Sara said looking at the board.
"I don't deserve to live for what I've done. I've been behind everything, responsible for all those people's deaths, each and every moment planned out to a tea. And here is my favorite part, but I won't live to it but I'll be the trigger of something amazing! I might've been a puppet but I'm satisfied! Something that even in heaven, no no a man like me belongs in hell for what I've set up. And it's all thanks to him. He allowed me to see the terror of the world," the person yelled as he grabbed Ethan's picture off the board.
"So wouldn't he be behind it all?" Sara asked.
"No, because if he was he would've won the game, but as you see he doesn't," the person said pinning Ethan's picture back to the board.
"You're crazy," Sara said laughing.
"It's fun to be crazy. There's no fun in the game unless you play it to the fullest," the person said walking away from the board.
...
Jacob walked into Caleb's dorm room.
"Why did you want us to meet?" Caleb asked. Tears started falling down Jacob's face.
"Kyle's dead," Jacob cried.
"What?" Caleb asked standing up.
"He was killed by an oncoming car while he was drunk. I lost my best friend," Jacob cried.
"Oh my God Jacob I'm so sorry. It'll be okay, he's in a better place now," Caleb said.
"I really hope so," Jacob cried hugging Caleb.
...
"God you're dying way too quickly," Sara said.
"The game must go on. We mustn't rush it," Angela coughed.
"I'm closing off the meetings. They're wasting your energy they can survive without the calling of meetings," Sara yelled.
"Tell the diary holders then," Angela wheezed.
...
Miller's phone buzzed and Sara teleported behind him.
"No more calling meetings?" Miller asked looking at his phone.
"Yeah," Sara said.
"Well that makes my diary more powerful. And probably others too," Miller said laying back in the grass.
"You seem to not be affected by Kyle's death. I know you got notified of it," Sara said.
"Who gives a shit, sure he was a number for us, but we've lost so many already. We can still win, we just need to wait," Miller said.
"What do you even want? What do you stand for?" Sara asked.
"Nothing, I don't want to become God, but I don't want to die. So I don't care anymore," Miller said.
"Nothing? Miller if you stand for nothing, if you die, what will you fall for? What will your efforts be for? This is a game and you seem to be avoiding it," Sara said.
"I'll make my move soon. I just want to relax," Miller said closing his eyes. Sara growled and teleported away.
