"Haven't seen you a while," Sara said crossing her arms and looking at Chris. He was silent and crossed his arms while sitting in a sewer.
"Uh huh," Chris mumbled.
"So, what happened to the fun, funny, unstoppable cop Chris?" Sara asked.
"I lost my job," Chris mumbled.
"You lost your spirit too," Sara said frowning.
"I lost it a while ago, but God gave me hope," Chris said sinking into the cement.
"Do you still have your hope?" Sara asked.
"Unfortunately yes, sure my diary is totally useless, but if I'm good at one thing it's outlasting other people," Chris said.
"Unique one huh?" Sara said. Chris looked down at the water as memories rushed through his head.
~Flashback~
"Watch out cop Chris coming coming through," A ten year old Chris said rolling through the grass.
"Detective Mindy is on the case," Mindy said holding up a fake badge.
"Alright kids, who wants sandwiches?" A mother said standing next to a different, more stiff woman.
"Oo! Me thanks mom," Mindy said running into the house as her mother followed.
"Same here!" Chris yelled trying to run into the house but only being stopped by his mother.
"Christian, I think you should slow down," His mother said.
"Mother I'm just trying to have fun," Chris said.
"I understand that, but I don't know if becoming a cop is in your best interest. Maybe an engineer? Or a lawyer? Maybe a doctor?" Chris's mom said.
"If that's what you think mom," Chris mumbled walking back into the house.
~3 years later~
"Hey Chris," Mindy said looking over Chris's shoulder.
"Hey Mindy," Chris replied.
"Ooh studying to become a doctor huh?" Mindy said.
"Yeah it's what my mom wants," Chris said.
"Awh cool!" Mindy said excitedly. Sirens then started to go off and Mindy and Chris exited the library.
"Look a robbery!" Chris shouted. A cop car then quickly turned the corner and a cop got out. The cop went into the bank.
"C'mon let's follow," Mindy said running over to the bank. Chris quickly followed and the robber and the cop were having a fist fight.
"Woah awesome," Chris said. The cop quickly handcuffed the robber.
"In the name of the law, sir you are under arrest," The cop said. Everyone in the bank started to clap including Mindy and Chris. The cop got up and guided the robber to the car and Chris and Mindy followed.
"Woah sir that was amazing," Mindy said with a bright white smile.
"Thank you dear," The cop said turning around to make eye contact with Mindy.
"You're what I dreamed of being," Chris said.
"Keep dreaming kid, it's not that hard to be me," The cop said messing with Chris's hair.
"What's your name sir?" Mindy asked.
"You can just call me Officer Walker. You're Detective Fairbee's daughter right?" Officer Walker said.
