Caleb followed Christina down to the last floor of a movie parking lot. Caleb came to a sudden stop when he saw blood all over the floor of the lot. Cops looked in his direction and Caleb caught a glimpse of someone in a blue hooded jacket.
"I swear, I didn't do anything!" The person in the blue hood jacket said muffled.
"You were the only person left here at the scene," An officer said.
"Yeah, but I didn't do anything! I was framed I tell ya'! Framed!" The person in the blue hooded jacket shouted.
"Let me take care of this one," An officer said stepping forward. He had jet black hair and brown eyes. His skin was tan and he wore the same officer outfit as everyone else.
"Yes officer Remolado," the other officer said. Officer Remolado stepped up to the boy with the hooded jacket and put his palm out.
"What?" The boy with the hooded jacket asked.
"Empty your pockets," Officer Remolado said.
"I refuse," the boy with the hooded jacket said.
"Fine, he's guilty take him to the station," Officer Remolado said walking away. Officer Remolado walked away from the boy as two cops handcuffed him. Officer Remolado glanced at Caleb and Christina and walked over toward them. "What are you two kiddies doing here?"
"I'm 19 years old sir," Caleb said.
"Ah, the good old days. Still why are you here?" Officer Remolado asked.
"My friend here told me that my friend Ariel was being attacked so we came down here as soon as possible," Caleb said.
"Hmm, well it's quite obvious that someone was attacked, but it's plain as day that they aren't here anymore. By the way my name is Chris Remolado," Chris said.
"I'm Caleb Walker and this is my friend Christina," Caleb said with a smile.
"Nice to meet you two," Chris said. "You know I just started working on the force, but I've been doing so well recently that I have been promoted pretty high."
"Maybe you'd be promoted higher if you worked more and didn't slack off talking to this kid and his older sister," A man in a suit said walking toward Chris. The man in the suit glanced at Caleb. "Especially kids under the age of 13, seriously where is your mother?"
"I'm 19 sir," Caleb said.
"Well my mistake, no matter," The man said tightening his tie.
"And I'm not his sister!" Christina shouted.
"What are you then his girlfriend?" The man asked.
"Wha-at?" Christina said angrily. "Excuse you I'm taken by Mason Justice."
"Mason Justice? That college student who died?" Chris asked.
"Wh-hat?" Christina nervously said.
"Yeah I remember him, killed in an alleyway by Jack Davies, some assassin working at a bar. Swear that dude has killed half of the force now when we've been just trying to catch him," Chris said.
"How do you know Jack killed him?" Caleb questioned.
"Told ya' I'm good at solving crimes," Chris said.
"Yet he still can't catch this rascal," the man said.
"Oh yeah I forgot to ask, who are you?" Caleb asked.
"Caleb! You don't even know the mayor?" Christina asked.
"Haha, it's fine. I'm Strat Becker, the mayor of California," Strat said.
"Well, what are you doing here?" Caleb asked.
"I have my jobs to attend to you know," Strat said.
"Oh I see," Caleb said with a sigh. Strat then got a notification on his phone which he quickly checked.
"Sorry, I've got to head out friend of mine just messaged me," Strat said. "Haven't seen him in so long we decided to have dinner today." Strat smiled and then walked away.
"Eh, better get going too, getting late and I've got to interview this dude," Chris said walking away.
"You should get some sleep," Caleb said turning to Christina.
"Yeah I guess, it's been a long day," Christina said stretching her arms. Caleb headed back to his dorm and laid on his bed. He tried to organize all the jumbled thoughts in his head, but he couldn't quite do it.
"You should probably set that alarm," a familiar voice said. Caleb sat up and turned as he met eyes with Sara.
"I thought you weren't supposed to interfere with the game," Caleb said.
"This is not necessarily the game either, I'm just saving you some time. No matter the outcome you'd still go to the meeting," Sara said.
"You want me to win don't you?" Caleb asked with a smirk.
"Go to sleep Caleb, it will be a long day tomorrow," Sara said. Caleb set his alarm and then shut his eyes thinking of only the game.
