"It's so lonely," Angela whispered to herself as she heavily breathed. A persistent ringing noise started and Angela sighed. She did a conducting movement with her skeleton hands and a hologram of Sara then appeared in front of her. "You called?" Sara bowed.
"Are you watching the games currently, my God?" Sara asked.
"No, why should I watch it when I already know the winner?" Angela said.
"It's very interesting, I think you should watch it," Sara said.
"No one catches my eye in this game. A shy kid who gave himself away in the first day of the game, an average intelligent intellectual, a man in the closet, a loud theater kid, a secret drug dealer, an asian cop, a spy, a guy who works on the latest iphones, an eccentric man, a serial killer, a smoker, and a mob boss. Now how could any of those people possibly interest me?" Angela asked.
"Don't take some of them for granted. A lot of them are more intelligent than you believe. And I see you're caught up on the deaths, hm?" Sara said.
"Well of course I am, that's the only thing that interest me," Angela replied.
"And you know who killed who, right?" Sara asked.
"Of course."
"Do you think she's going to win the game?"
"Not at all, she has no chance. Her reckless almost got her killed."
"But you want her to win right?"
"Yes."
"Who are you hoping for to win in this game?"
"I already know who wins, I can't hope for someone who stands no chance against number 16."
"Well yes of course, none of them stand a chance against them."
"I hope number one does some good in this game."
"We can only hope that Caleb will change the future, even though it's already written."
"Yes, I'd be very frightened if he were to win," Angela said coughing. "That'd be a world no one would want to live in."
"Then why'd you choose him to be in the games?"
"Because the others needed a challenge, whoever kills him deserves to be God, although they might not become one."
"Right, well I'm going to continue watching."
"One question before you leave."
"What is that?" Sara asked adjusting her glasses.
"Who is your favorite from these games?" Angela asked crossing her arms.
"Miller Croke, number three, I like him the best. He's playing a smart game," Sara said smiling as she left. Angela chuckled and then coughed. She then opened up a panel in the emptiness and started to watch the games that she created for the first time.
...
"So who is it? Who is gunshot?" Miller asked.
"It's a female, her name is Ariel. She recently committed a crime and I had a witness call my number saying that their best friend Robb was killed by the serial killer. And my diary said that Ariel had recently killed a man named Robb," Chris said.
"No that can't be true," Caleb mumbled.
"What?" Jacob asked.
"Ariel is the serial killer, see I knew I had a bad feeling about her," Kyle said.
"I plan on arresting her soon," Chris said.
"You can't, she'd never kill anyone!" Caleb shouted.
"Huh?" Chris asked.
"She's been my best friend for so long I know her. She's so innocent and weak she'd never kill anyone! It's impossible," Caleb yelled.
"Sometime the evil are the ones that appear the most innocent," Kyle replied. Caleb was in shock he started to back up out of the room as tears fell down his face. His slow back walk then turned into a sprint out of the room. He ran as fast as his legs could take him. He then ran into a tall man, probably about 2 inches taller than him.
"Hey watch where you're going kid," the man said. He recognized him, he was Ariel's cousin's husband.
"Jonas?" Caleb asked looking at Jonas wiping away his tears.
"Is that you Caleb, aw man I haven't seen you since I went to go play for the NBA!" Jonas happily shouted.
"How are things with you and Kaeli going?" Caleb asked.
"Things are great dude, you wouldn't believe it," Jonas replied. "I think she might be gettin' preggos soon if ya know what I am sayin' eyyy heyy eyy."
"Haha, sure," Caleb said awkwardly.
"Anyway why you in this hospital crying? Someone ya' know die recently? Huh huh?" Jonas asked looking around.
"A couple of people yeah, some I didn't know too well, but still," Caleb somberly mumbled.
"Aw man I'm real sorry."
"It's okay, why are you here?"
"I heard Ariel recently got in the hospital, but she then called me this morning saying her arm was fine, but she was visiting a friend in the hospital, so I came to see her," Jonas replied.
"Oh okay," Caleb replied.
"You can come with if you'd like oh wait look there she is," Jonas said pointing to Ariel.
"Caleb you wouldn't believe it!" Ariel shouted.
"What?" Caleb asked.
"Someone got murdered in this hospital recently," Ariel yelled, but she didn't seem very panicked.
"Oh well shouldn't we leave in case of danger?" Caleb asked.
"Yes I'd think that'd be the best," Ariel said.
"Then why aren't we leaving?" Caleb asked.
"C'mon Ari, let's go," Jonas said grabbing Ariel's arm and running out. Caleb then followed behind.
"Oh can you leave Jonas and I to some alone time?" Ariel asked.
"Oh of course, I'm sorry," Caleb said as he walked away from Ariel and Jonas. Once Caleb was out of sight Ariel hugged Jonas tightly and cried into his chest.
"What's wrong?" Jonas asked stroking her back.
"I'm just so stressed out," Ariel cried as she smirked.
"I'm sorry," Jonas said hugging her tighter. Sara was sitting on one of the first floor window sills and crossing her legs and smiling as she watched Ariel and Jonas hug.
"Such a great manipulator," Sara whispered to herself. She then called up Angela and closed her eyes as time seemed to stop.
"You're right Sara," Angela said with a chuckle.
"Of course I am, I've seen 27 other games to become God, but I think this is my favorite so far," Sara said with a smirk.
"It's definitely very interesting," Angela said.
"And we both know it's going to get a whole lot more interesting in the future," Sara said.
"Yes," Angela said.
