Caleb walked down the college hallways to his class. Was this really happening? Why was he chosen? He couldn't understand any of it and yet he had to continue his normal life. He ran into the classroom door and fell onto the floor. A girl with brown curly hair giggled and said,
"Need some help up Caleb? Jeez your nose is so deep into your phone you ran into the door." Caleb took the girl's tanish hand and she helped him up.
"Sorry I was deep in thought," Caleb said with a chuckle.
"It's fine, did you do the homework?" She asked.
"Yeah of course I did," Caleb said. "Did you Ariel?"
"Yup," Ariel said. "You know I always keep up on the homework assignments."
"True," Caleb said. "I also keep up on the homework assignments too y'know?"
"Yeah, but you have a habit of procrastinating," Ariel said. "Anyway let's go in or else we're going to be late." Ariel walked through the door and Caleb followed behind her. They took their seats and Caleb looked to his left. A boy with brown hair and glasses sat next to him. The boy looked at Caleb and popped his collar and adjusted his glasses.
"Hey Caleb didn't see you there," the boy said.
"Hey Miller, how have you been?" Caleb asked.
"Eh same old same old you know?" Miller said resting his head. Caleb then looked at the door and saw Sara walk through the doors.
"What the?" Caleb mumbled.
"What's wrong?" Ariel asked.
"Oh nothing," Caleb replied. Sara walked up the stairs and walked to the back and sat down. "I'm going to go talk to the girl."
"What girl..?" Ariel asked as she watched Caleb run up the stairs. He sat next to Sara and she looked at Caleb.
"What?" Sara asked.
"What are you doing in my college course class?" Caleb asked.
"I told you I'm an observer of the game. Who would I be if I didn't watch?" Sara said.
"I guess that's true, but why watch me?" Caleb asked.
"Not everything is about you," Sara said with a scoff.
"What?" Caleb asked. The teacher walked into the classroom and looked at Caleb.
"Caleb go to your proper seat," the teacher said.
"Yes Mr.Smith," Caleb said as he got out of his seat and walked back to his original one.
"Hah way to get caught," Miller said with a laugh.
"Yeah I guess it was pretty funny," Caleb said.
"So how'd you like talking to Sara?" Miller whispered in Caleb's ear.
"How'd you know her name?" Caleb asked.
"Me? Oh I talked to her earlier you could say we bumped into each other," Miller said with a wink.
"We need to talk after this lecture," Caleb said narrowing his eyes.
"I knew you'd say that," Miller said with a smile as he turned back to look at the teacher. Caleb turned around to try and catch a glimpse of Sara, but she was gone. Caleb turned back around and focused on the lesson. When he turned suddenly a flash of light overtook him and he was in a different room. The room had 16 pedestals, including the one he was standing on. He looked around and saw silhouettes of people with numbers around them. A large woman with a black cloak sat in a large chair that overlooked all the pedestals. Below her chair was Sara with a smirk on her face.
"Welcome fools," Sara said with a smirk.
"Hush Sara, you may have called the meeting, but you do not speak, understand?" The woman in the black coat said. Sara nodded her head.
"What's this all about?" Caleb asked.
"Relax number 1, we called a meeting since their seems to be disbelief and confusion. With the app on your phone you can call a meeting once every 24 hours. The numbers above represent whatever your diary number is. This is a game to become God so revealing everyone's identities would not be as exciting," the woman in the black coat said.
"Aww shit it's about to become interesting," Number 3 said.
"I will win you can count on that," Number 16 said.
"Now number 16, you shouldn't be lying like that," Number 12 said tipping his hat.
"Hey does everyone just not want to kill anyone else?" Number 2 asked.
"Ha, killing is what I do for a living," Number 14 said.
"Good try number 2," Number 9 said.
"Anyway if no one kills then no one will become God," Number 11 said.
"This game shall be quite easy for me," Number 10 said.
"Oh yeah?" Number 5 asked.
"Yeah, I practically got the whole military behind me," Number 10 said.
"Hold up, the government is stronger than to let one single person control the whole military," Number 13 said.
"That's what you think, but the government is pretty dumb," Number 15 said.
"4, 6, 7, and 8 got anything to say?" Number 10 asked.
"Yeah, I'm going to kick all of your asses," Number 8 said.
"No one is going to kill number 9 or me," Number 7 said with a smirk.
"You're working with someone already?" Number 6 questioned.
"It's a decent strategy," Number 4 said placing his finger on his chin. "Hey number 5 want to work together?"
"Sure buddy, meet up at the usual?" Number 5 said.
"Yeah," Number 4 said with a smile.
"Idiots," Number 14 said.
"Can this meeting end already?" Number 2 asked.
"Yeah I'm outta here!" Number 15 shouted. He grabbed his phone from his pocket and tapped the screen. Many of the others followed after him and number 3 and Caleb were the only ones left.
"Good luck Caleb," Number 3 said with a wink. Number 3 then left and Caleb looked at the God and Sara. Caleb then tapped the screen and returned back to his class.
