Caleb exited the lecture once it finished and he waited for Miller to come out of the classroom. Once Miller exited Caleb grabbed his collar and led him like a dog into his room. Once Caleb entered his room with Miller he shut the door.
"Jeez, didn't need to drag me here," Miller said looking around his room.
"How did you know about Sara?" Caleb asked.
"I told you I bumped into her, it was just a coincidence," Miller said sitting down on the bed.
"Sure next thing you will tell me is that you're not number 3," Caleb said.
"What?" Miller questioned.
"Welp that was totally off," Caleb said with a sigh. Miller's phone buzzed and he grabbed it from his pocket. He unlocked his phone and after a few seconds of looking at it his eyes widened. "What?"
"Pff well just wow," Miller said.
"What happened?" Caleb asked.
"Well number 1, we've got a problem," Miller said looking up from his phone.
"Wait so I was right?" Caleb asked. Miller nodded his head. "Yes!"
"Hey don't get too excited, number 2 is dead," Miller said.
"What how do you know that?" Caleb said turning around. He looked at his phone, he didn't get any notifications from the app.
"It's part of my ability. Number 2 was our friend Caleb," Miller said looking at Caleb.
"What are you talking about?" Caleb asked.
"Mason Justice, diary holder number 2, was killed in an alley way," Miller said reading off his phone.
"Mason?!" Caleb shrieked with terror.
"He didn't even want to kill anyone," Miller sighed.
"Mason he was my best friend," Caleb said grasping his fist. Someone knocked on the door.
"Hello? It's Christina can I come in?" Christina asked.
"No you can't," Miller said. "What do you need?"
"I was wondering where my boyfriend was, have you guys seen him?" Christina asked.
"Poor Christina," Caleb mumbled under his breath.
"Sorry Christie I really don't know," Miller said.
"Oh okay, just tell me if you see Mason, okay?" Christina said.
"Will do," Miller said. Miller then turned to Caleb. "So my diary is the dead diary, it gives me information on anyone who died within 50 miles, even tells me if they were in the game or not."
"Oh that's pretty neat," Caleb said.
"What is yours?" Miller asked.
"Mine? Oh well I can use my phone as a scanner that allows me to see what objects are useful around me and what are not. So I guess I could call it the observant diary?" Caleb said.
"Well that's a pretty useful diary, but since we're friends I assume we are going to work together in this game," Miller said.
"Of course," Caleb said. Miller smiled and looked down back at his phone. Miller took a deep breath and then looked back at Caleb.
"Do you even want to kill anyone?" Miller asked concerned.
"No of course I don't," Caleb said.
"Do you want to die?" Miller asked.
