After the ceremony we all bring the party inside. People sit at their designated seats while waiting for the bride and groom to be announced. I take a sip of my champagne and hold Emma on my lap. I watch Blake as he laughs and talks to some of the friends from high school he hasn't seen in awhile.
"Mommy can I go to daddy?" Emma asks
"Of course" I smile
I lift her off my lap and she runs over to Blake who smiles and picks her up in his arms. I go back to sipping on my glass of champagne while watching Blake and Emma. After a while the DJ asks everyone to sit down.
"Ok thanks. Now I'd like to announce Mr and newly Mrs Carrington!!" The DJ announces as the door opens
The newlyweds walk in holding hands and smiling. They walk to the dance floor and share their first dance together. We all stare at them in awe as they sway back and forth while smiling at each other. Blake's sitting next to me with Emma on his lap. He intertwines his hands with mine and I smile over at him. After the song ends Ashley's dad cuts in and they have a father-daughter dance. Her father sheds a few tears and I see her wipe at her eyes as well. After their special dances everyone eats.
As I eat I notice Blake frequent glance in my way. I look over and see him smiling at me. I smile back and go back to eating. Shortly after, everyone starts mingling and dancing. Blake pulls me away from my mom and guides me to the dance floor at some point. I wrap my hands around his neck as he puts his hands around my waist. We sway to the music and I lie my head on his shoulder.
"Can we go somewhere and talk?" He asks
"Of course" I say
He smiles and takes my hand. He asks my mom to watch Emma for a few minutes before leading me outside to the garden. As soon as we're outside his lips are against mine. They move in sync and he pulls away and smiles.
"I've wanted to do that all night" He smiles "But that's not why I brought you out here"
"Then why?" I ask smiling
"What if I stayed here instead of going back to California?" He says
"Why would you do that? You love California" I ask
"I may love California, but Ii love you and Emma more" He says "I could transfer to the state school here and help take care of Emma"
"That's crazy Blake!" I yell "I'm not letting you do that"
"This is my choice. I want to do this" He says
"Do you know what you're sacrificing?" I ask
"Yes I do and I think it's for the better" He says holding my cheek with one hand
"Are you scared that I will change my mind? Is that why you're staying?" I ask
"No. Of course not. I want to be here for the both of you. I already missed so much of Emma's life, I don't plan on missing anymore" He states
"Are you sure it's what you want to do?" I ask
"I'm one hundred percent sure" He smiles before kissing me
When he pulls away, we sit down on the bench for a few moments in silence before he breaks it.
"This should've been our wedding" He says quietly
"What do you mean?" I ask
"If I hadn't left in the first place,we would've been planning our wedding right now" He sighs
"Beth" Ashley says coming outside
"Yeah?" I ask
"I just spoke with my doctor and he said it was fine to do what we were planning to do. So I figured we could do it now?" She says
"Yeah of course I'll be right there" I say
She nods and goes back inside. I look back to Blake unsure of what to say at his confession. He's avoiding my eyes and stands up. He offers me a hand which I gladly take. We walk back towards the doors and right before we go inside I pull him to a stop and kiss him.
"I'm glad at where we are. I don't need a ring to make my feelings for you real" I say before walking inside
Ashley had this plan to dance for Josh tonight and she wanted to make sure it was ok with her doctor before doing it because there's a lot of movement. I go to the room she told me to and got the outfit she picked out on before we meet up. She informs the DJ of what we're doing and gives him the mixtape for it. We all take our places and Ashley nods over at the DJ before walking to the dance floor.
As the dance ends I pull Blake along with me and we dance together for a while. After the reception a few hours later Blake carries Emma as we go up to our hotel room he booked for us. Emma fell asleep almost an hour ago and I've been holding her while I sat down at the table and when Blake came he offered to carry her since my arms were tired.
He hands me the key card and I slide it into the door before pulling it out and pushing the door open. Blake lays Emma on one of the beds and puts pillows around her. I watch as he tucks her in and smile at how cute they are together.
"I'm going to take a shower" I state "Can you unzip me?"
"Yeah" He smiles before slowly dragging the zipper down.
I walk into the bathroom and take off my dress that I changed back into. I take off the strapless bra and my undies. I run warm water and then Blake knocks at the bathroom door. I pull on one of the robes the hotel gives before opening the door.
"Mind if I join you?" He asks
"Not at all" I say opening the door wider for him
He starts undressing while I remove the robe and slip into the shower. Less than a minute later he comes in behind me. I grab the shampoo but he takes it from my hands. He puts some on his hands and lathers it into my hair. I rinse out my hair and he puts the conditioner in too. He grabs the sponge and slowly rubs it over my body with soap. He takes his time and after he's finished, he rinses off the soap. He places gentle kisses on the back of my neck and turns me around. He kisses me fully on the lips and picks me up pressing my back against the shower wall.
"I have wanted this ever since I saw you dance earlier" He says huskily "You looked so sexy, Like you were dancing for only me"
I moan as he nibbles on my ear. He plants soft wet kisses down my collarbone and chest. I can feel how bad he wants this and I want it just as bad. I grind myself onto him and he pushes his length into me.
"Tell me you're mine" He groans circling his hips giving me some pleasure, but it's not what I need right now.
"I'm yours baby" I moan
He pulls back and slams into me. i cry out and he digs his fingers into my thighs.
"Baby I'm your and only yours" I moan into his ear
That night we made an unspoken promise to one another. That promise is we'll never each other again, no matter how tough life gets, and someday our wedding day will come.
