Y/N pov
I found him. I can't believe I found him. 10 years (lets pretend that Levi joined the survey corps 10 years ago) of searching. I almost gave up. I mean, after 10 years and searching the underground 10 times a day, you start to lose hope. Right when my faith started to fade, a man came to me. He said his name was Erwin Smith and he wanted me to join the survey corps. I now know why it is that I said yes. I said yes so I could be reunited with Levi.
I'm too afraid to ask where the others are. I have a guess, but I'm sure I'm right. Where Levi went, they followed. I would've followed if I had known. So if they did follow him and they aren't here, they must have died. I find it hard to believe though. They were strong and brave and they were my friends. They can't be gone. They have to be out there somewhere. And if they aren't alive anymore, that must be how Erwin found me. They led him to me, so he could lead me to Levi.
I change out of my bloody clothes and hang them in my closet. I know I said I'd throw them away, but there's no way I'd throw away a memory of this day.
I head out to the field to find that training is over. It's lunch time now I guess.
I walk into the mess hall to find my table occupied by Hange, Sasha, and Levi. I skip over to the table and receive weird looks from Hange and Sasha.
"What's going on Y/N? Why so happy all of a sudden? You weren't so happy this morning. What changed?" Hange asked
I guess I'll lie. I don't know if I'm supposed to talk about it or not. "I just really like sparring! I got to beat up three people today. It's nice to let my anger out." I tried to come up with something that they'd believe someone like me would say, and that was the best I could do.
"It made you happy to beat up your best friend? I think I have a concussion Y/N! Why does that make you happy?! Granted you woke up this morning crying and telling me it was a happy dream, so I guess. It's expected."
"Ooooo. What did you dream about?! I wanna know!" Hange said. Why does she even care?
I grabbed my arm, but quickly drop it. "It was just a memory of me and my friends hanging out from a long time ago. I often hurt myself and I had made the mistake of running with a knife. I remembered falling and cutting myself in the process. Then my best friend came up to me and tried to bandage my wound, but I was crying to hard and he was struggling. It was funny. He held me close to his chest and told me to stop crying. That's when Sasha woke me up. I was about to get to the good part too." I said trying to improvise the best I could.
"What was the good part?" Sasha asked.
"What do you mean?"
"You said I woke you up before the good part. Tell me what the good part was! If it's a memory, you should remember, yeah?"
"Yeah L/N. What's the good part?" Levi asked while munching on his bread. He honestly wanted to know. When I was 'improvising' about the dream, I was actually talking about another memory that wasn't so sketchy. For all Levi knows, after he told me to stop crying, I passed out. But of course, I didn't. I was curious back then.
"Right. Good part." I was too afraid to make something up for fear they may see through my lie. "Well, I pretended to pass out because..."
"Because why?" Sasha asked.
"Well I really liked the guy and I thought if he thought I was asleep, he'd carry me home." I saw Levi pick up a napkin to 'wipe his face off'. I'm reality, he was just hiding his pink cheeks.
"Then what?" He asked through his napkin.
"Well he picked me up, like I hoped, and the other friends there made fun of him saying he had a girlfriend. He stopped in his tracks and said "She's not my girlfriend. Yet. Someday, but now it's too risky."
