Hange pov

I walk into the mess hall and make my way over to the usual table. Someone is sitting there. A handsome man with jet black, messy hair. His eyes are a beautiful shade of blue. He appears to be around my age. I've never seen him before. Perhaps he's new?

I sit grab my food and sit next to him.

"Oh. I'm sorry. Did I take your table? I can move. I figured nobody would sit here in the corner." He said to me.

"No. Don't worry. Not very many of us sit here. There's plenty of room for you. I don't believe I've met you before. What's your name?"

"Oh. Uh, my name is Scott. I'm just here to check the place out. My sister really wants to join, so I figured I'd see what it's all about, you know? I'm a bit overprotective of her so I just want to make sure she'll be ok. I've been here all day just looking around."

"Oh. I understand. You're not really supposed to be here, but I'll let it slide. If anyone asks, just say you're visiting Hange. We're old friends, ok? There are some people here who wouldn't take kindly to visitors." I can't bring myself to kick him out. He seems so nice. And he's cute. He can't cause any harm. I'll keep an eye on him just in case.

"So my sister was talking about a girl she met once. She used to see her practicing in her yard and it really inspired her. One day, the girl disappeared and my sister decided to ask around to see where the girl went. The people in town said she came here. I believe her name was Y/N L/N. That's what sis said at least. Do you know her? Is love to meet her. My sister talked about her all the time. She really looked up to her. That's why she wants to come here. "

"Yes I do actually. In fact, that's her right there." I pointed to Y/N who was making her way over to the table. She was walking on her own now, but Levi was staying very close to her just in case. The two of them came over and sat at the table.

"Who is this?" Levi questioned.

"Oh. This is Scott. He's an old friend of mine. He stopped by to say hi. He also was interested in meeting Y/N." I explained.

"What business do you have with her?" Levi asked defensively.

"My gosh Levi. Chill a bit. His sister used to see her train in her yard and she looked up to her. Scott here just wanted to meet her. So chill."

"Yes. That's all. It's a pleasure to meet you Y/N. My sister used to talk about you all the time. You inspired her to join the survey corps in fact."

"Oh. I didn't realize I did anything like that. I didn't intend to do that. I didn't actually plan on joining. Someone asked me to join and I just kind of went along with it. I'm glad I inspired her. It must be rough for you though to have someone you care about wanting to join such a dangerous profession."

"It's a little rough, but she's strong and I'm sure all of you are too. I'm sure she'll be alright. I don't believe I've actually been introduced to you though sir."

Levi stared emotionlessly at the man. "I'm Captain Levi."

"Come on shorty. I thought you didn't like titles! Why are you being so cold to my friend?" I say putting my arm around Scott. I hope he doesn't mind. I'm just trying to make it look believable.

"I'm not being cold. I'm being normal."

"Maybe your old normal. You don't act like this anymore. Not since Y/N showed up and made you have human emotions again."

He shot me a dirty glare and stood up. "I'm going to go get dinner." He walked away, but kept glancing over. He's really suspicious about Scott. I don't see why.
