Levi pov
"Meeting during lunch." Hange told me.
"During lunch? But-"
"We'll eat during the meeting."
"That's not."
She smirked. I should've stayed quiet. "Ohh. You wanna see Y/N. You're worried about her eating habits too. That's so cute. You look forward to meal time now because you have someone to talk to."
"Shut up."
"You love me."
"You are by far the worst part of meal time. By far. Now why is there a meeting."
"You're a meanie. I hope you don't treat Y/N like this."
"Of course I don't. I actually like her unlike you. Meeting. Why meeting."
"Expedition."
Shit. I guess that's why we're here. We're supposed to go outside the walls and fight for humanity.
"Someone doesn't seem very eager. Let me guess."
"Oh please no."
"Oh I think yes. So now that Levi has been reunited with his long lost love, he doesn't want to risk losing her. But we're in the survey corps. You, me, and Y/N. It's our job. You know that."
"I know Hange. So shut up."
"What are you planning shorty?"
Planning? I'm not planning. I don't want her to go on the expedition, but I don't know how I can get her to stay. I wish I had a plan.
"I'm not planning anything. There's nothing I can do."
"Well I'm glad you know that because that will probably be a conversation topic won't it? Just a wild guess, but Erwin knows you're a thing and he probably also knows that you'll do anything to make her stay. Just be prepared. He'll bring it up. It's best to give in and not argue."
She's right. For once. Nothing I can do or say can make her stay. And if I was able to convince Erwin, there'd be no convincing Y/N. She has this idea in her head. She wants to fight beside me to make it easier. In reality, it's gonna be harder. I don't want her out of my sight. When I let Isabelle and Farland out of my sight, that didn't end well. She can't meet the same fate. I won't let that happen.
*time skip meeting*
"So the expedition has been moved. This weekend, we'll move out." Erwin said.
"This weekend like as in 5 days?" I said. "That's not much notice."
"Chill Shorty. It's not like you haven't been sent out on short notice before." Hange said.
"And that leads us directly in to the other matter here today."
Erwin looked at me and I put my head on the table. I put it there very hard and it hurts now.
"Ok then. I guess I'll do the talking then."
"mmm"
"I think he's protesting Comander."
"If you want to talk, then by all means, do so."
"mmm"
"Yeah. That's what I thought."
I slightly lift my head and send a glare his way. He just laughed.
"No need to get mad Levi. It's a natural human emotion that even the cold hearted asshole can feel apparently."
