Levi pov

I brought Y/N back to my room and put her on my bed. I laid down next to her and waited for her to wake up. She didn't.

The sun rose and I got up and took a shower. When I got dressed and came back out to my room, there was breakfast sitting on my nightstand. Two bowls of soup and two loafs of bread. There was also a note.

Captain,
You didn't show up for breakfast when you normally do, so i decided to come check on you. When you didn't answer the door, I grew concerned and came inside. I'm very sorry for entering without permission. You weren't here, but Y/N was. I told her to come here last night. I'm sorry if I caused you trouble. Anyways, I went back to the mess hall and after breakfast, you still hadn't shown up. I went ahead and grabbed you both some food. I hope you enjoy your meal. Hange wanted me to tell you "Take the day off. I'll teach today. When something happens, please come get me. Bring her with you. Whatever you do, don't leave her by herself. Be careful. If you see anything suspicious, come get me. Don't let anyone except me or Sasha in this room. Stay put. Don't leave for any reason besides coming to get me. I'll check on you during lunch. For now, eat." I'm not even gonna ask what that means. Anyways, enjoy your meal.

Huh. That was unexpected. I appreciate the fact she didn't question me. It is odd that Hange didn't tell her what's going on. She has her reasons I guess. Why is she so adamant that I stay in this room? Whatever. It's not like I was going to leave anyways. I eat my food and think about the recent events. Who did this? Why?

Sasha pov

I wake up and gather my clothes so I can shower. When I get to the bathroom, I notice Y/N's gone.

"Uh, Y/N?"

I look all over the room. Under the bed, in the closet, hiding in the shower, even in the cabinet under the sink. She's not here. Did she go to breakfast already?

I go get ready and head to the mess hall. I grab food and sit down at the usual table. Hange is already there, but she doesn't look normal.

"Hange? What's wrong?"

"Oh. Nothing. I'm fine."

"That's a lie. You look like hell. No offense, but you could look a lot better."

"You're right. I didn't get much sleep last night. I went to bed around midnight and woke up around 3 and never went back to bed."

"Why didn't you go back to bed?"

"Well I was trying to figure something out."

"Did you figure it out?"

"Nope. I don't have a clue."

"Can I help?"

"Do you have experience in medicine?"

"I can bandage wounds. That's about it."

"Yeah, so that's a no then. Unfortunately, you can't help this time."

"Ok. That's fine. Let me know if you change your mind."

"Will do."

"Shouldn't Captain be here already?"

"I guess. He normally show up right after us. Speaking of Captain, where's Y/N?"

"I don't know. I haven't seen her since around 3 this morning."

"Huh."

"I think I'm going to go check on Captain."

"Uh, I don't think that's nesicary."

"I'm worried. Normally he's already here fighting with Y/N about food. I'm going to go see what's up."

Hange stared at me, but said nothing as I got up and left.

I walked to Captain Levi's office and knocked on the door. There was no answer. I knocked again, louder this time. Still nothing. That's not normal. I open the door a bit and don't see him sitting at his desk where he normally is. I completely open the door and walk in. He's not in his office anywhere. I cautiously peek into the bedroom. I see Y/N laying on his bed, but she's alone. I walk in and double check to see if Captain Levi is there, but he's not. I decide that's enough snooping and head back to the mess hall.

I go back to my table and sit down.

"So?" She asked.

"I didn't find him. Y/N is there though. She's asleep and I didn't bother waking her."

"So, you're saying she's alone."

"Yeah. Is something wrong?"

"It's nothing. I'm just curious where Shorty is. That's all."

We continued eating breakfast in silence. The two of them never showed up.

"I think I'm going to take them breakfast. They should eat. At least Y/N should."

"You should leave a note too."

"Good idea. I'll be going then."

"Wait. I need you to put something on that note."

"And that is?"

She wrote something down on a napkin and handed it to me. "Ok. You can go now. Don't forget to butt that on your note."

I grabbed did for both of them and went back to his office. I repeated the same thing I did earlier and ended up walking in and putting the food in the nightstand.

I started to walk out, but then I remembered the note. I looked at the napkin Hange gave me and wrote a quick note on a nearby piece of blank paper.

I took one last glance at Y/N. She's still in the exact position she was earlier. When she sleeps in my room, she does a lot of tossing and turning. She also has an internal clock and wakes up at the exact same time every day. I wonder why she's still asleep. And like that. And why didn't she come back last night? I know I told her to come here last night, but why is she still here? And what the hell is Hange's message about? I guess it's none of my business. If it was important, I'm sure I would know about it.

I guess Hange is teaching today, so I should head to her classroom.
