Part 8

Day after day, week after week, which finally led us to month after month we were getting closer. I didn't have any attraction to Devesh anymore. I understood we were just friends and that was it. But he wasn't like any other friend. Music linked us. At that one party at Kemi's house they were playing load of music I loved so I asked Devesh to make me a playlist and that's how our friendship became more intense. Music. He made me some playlists I made him too. He was opened minded I mean he loved The Neighbourhood's album ! I was now listening to Drake's albums but also Tinie Tempah's !

Anyway we were good friends and from time to time I got to see his friends mostly Kemi and Abel. That's what lead us to December.

It was a Saturday afternoon we went to the mall with Kemi who needed to get some dress for a party. Anyway we came with her. So as Kemi was trying her dresses Abel Devesh and I were talking about everything and anything. I caught Abel staring at me, I thought that maybe it was me and my hallucination but its not the first I caught him ! When we talk he looks at me straight in the eyes a little bit too straight ... I don't know what to think, I thought for a sec maybe he has a crush on you and then I thought maybe you are a bit paranoid. As long as I remember only 1 guy was into me during my seventeen years of existence and I was not into him...

Devesh took my arm and said " we're coming back ! "

We got up and we walked out of the shop, he looked at me " ok Jourdan I have to tell you !"

" what?"

" haven't you notice something ?"

I looked around and I looked at him and I said " no. "

" okay don't tell him "

" who ?"

He smiled and was excited

" I caught Abel staring at you more than once lately."

" So ... ? " I asked him

" I think he may have a crush on you and he told me many times " ohh Jourdan is so pretty ! Ohh how it is possible that a girl is so cute"" he took a funny voice as he was trying to imitate Abel. I laughed. He laughed too and then stopped

" no I'm serious, I think he likes you. What do you think of him ? "

" he's cool. " Actually I was just hiding and a bit lying. I think that Abel attracts me on some ways. But I just don't want to tell about anyone for the moment. 

He seemed disappointed : " you're not into him ?"

" well" he didn't give me the time to answer

" I don't get you Jourdan. What do you want ? This guy is so cool he is funny and he is respectful I mean what do you want more ? "

I didn't knew what to answer. Ok, Devesh is my friend but he is also Abel's friend so if I tell to Devesh that I'm a bit attracted by Abel he will tell it to Abel and I don't want that !  So, I said my usual speech : 

" okay you know how I feel about love. "

" no I don't. "

" I don't feel like I absolutely need a boyfriend. I think that I live in an absolute cliché and that the kind of boyfriend I am dreaming of does not exist. "

" a arghhh you watch way too many movies ! That's why you end up like that ! "

" you don't know what you're talking about. "

" then tell me what is a perfect boyfriend to you ?"

" a perfect boyfriend is a guy with who my soul is connected like I don't want a love based on the physical appearance I want a love based on the soul. "

" Do you think some guy will look at you and think mh let's forget the appearance lets focus on the soul ?"

" yes. "

" I tell you the truth I'm a guy. I can tell you, no. First you catch him with the appearance then you keep him with the soul. "

" aaww Devesh is now Dr Love ! So if you know it so well where is your girl ? "

" I'm into no one for the moment. "

I smiled " don't tell me bullshit give me one name just one... "

" there is no girl I swear."

" then tell me what's the perfect girlfriend"

" this shit does not exist. Nobody is perfect. But I think that an attractive girl with who I can have a laugh may be a good girlfriend ! "

" ok well I want you to find a girl okay ? " he nodded and added " so you're not into Abel" I smiled " you're into him ?" I smiled and add " I don't think so but I'm still glad he said that I am pretty."

So I was done with the questions ! I danced in my mind, for once a guy that I could be attracted to, thought that I was pretty. That's a step forward !

We were now back to Kemi's fitting room. Abel was texting. I wanted to smile so much ! He saw us and added " Don't leave me alone with her, it's like 2 hours we are here." Kemi shouted " I can hear you, little bastard" as she shouted she came out and she was stunning. Kemi is really a beautiful girl. She is black, with very long braids and she got that eyes I mean her eyes you just can't get off it and of course her teeth are whites and briliant. If you get a look at her body I can tell that she have a pretty ass ( I'm jealous ) not huge but not non existant ! Her dress is blue, very long and it's a bit shining, it feels like stars in the night sky. She smiled because she saw we were speechless, Abel said " Beautiful. You are really beautiful." She jumped '" Really ?" We all nodded. Abel shouted " So now can we go ?" She smirked.

She took a few breathes and she said " Guys, I'm going to tell you something but don't laugh at me."
