It's been three whole days since I've seen Betty.

Two since Archie kissed me.

And zero since I could make any sense out of my predicament.

I've been spending my days with this new sort of makeshift clique that consisted of Josie and the two pussycats, Kevin and oddly Reggie. We just clicked that day when we went out to the club and having Betty not be around really threw off everything for everyone I noticed. They had been yearning for her to leave so they could form something with me.

But I know when she comes back, this will all fade.

My days are usually consumed with Betty being by my side, her head on my shoulder at lunch, her eyes on me as I demonstrate routines during cheer practice and her arm latched onto mine as we walked home from cheer practice.

God do I miss her.

It doesn't compare to how hard I've been trying to avoid Archie. It's not by choice, I suppose, but I still haven't figured out an appropriate response to say to him. However, that doesn't stop him from constantly being around me. He knows he's not wanted so he stays a few feet away and he walks behind me making sure I get home after practice alright. Smiles and all.

No, it's not creepy at all.

But through all this, I've managed to drag myself to practice and suffer through a grueling hour of the same routine for Friday's game.

"Can we give it a rest?" I question Cheryl as she pouts. With all intent and purposes, I need to ask myself why I never quit the squad. Cheryl literally tossed me in a closet and tortured my friends, I should be trying to get away from her.

"Veronica Lodge. It's nice to hear your complaints again. Where the hell is Betty?"

I wish I knew.

Honestly.

"I wish I knew."

Cheryl looks around at the girls. All of them exhausted, with their sweat sticking their loose strands of hair to their foreheads and weak hands pressed against their hips, trying to keep them from falling over. She crosses her arms and with a firm voice, she tells them all to go home.

I begin to walk with the girls, before I feel a few fingers tug me back.

"Not you. You're gonna stay here and do this routine over and over. Practice enough for you and your girlfriend."
