I feel Betty's fingers pull at my cheeks, causing a smile to rise on my face.
"It didn't take you very long to fall asleep. On me," Betty whispers into my ear as she continues to pull at both of my cheeks, moving them in all directions. I let her until she starts to stretch them to places they've never been.
"Because I am tired Betty Cooper. All we do is run around like we're the Mystery Gang."
"Who I would be?"
"You're Velma because you're incredibly smart. And I'm Daphne of course. Her fashion sense is just amazing as mine," I smile before I hear Betty start giggling. "Archie is Fred because he's so charismatic and Jughead is Shaggy because I don't know it just fits."
"So are you telling me Cheryl is Scooby Doo?" Betty's giggles turn into laughs that I begin to match with my own.
"I guess so. By default. She would be a villain turned member of the gang. I think that suits her more. I'm actually surprised that you added her after today's events."
I feel Betty adjust her thighs under my head, sighing before she rests her hands on each side of my jaw. Just in a few hours, the darkness overtook the light, continuing to slide across Betty's walls, contributing its eeriness to the silence.
"I guess this isn't Cheryl's fault and she's in the middle of it as well. I've always known the Blossoms not to treat Cheryl the best so Polly moving in doesn't leave me feeling good not only for my sister but Cheryl as well."
"You make an interesting point B. But as interesting as that is, how is that going to help us with the problem we find ourselves in now?"
"Well now that you mentioned that, I spoke to Jughead while you were asleep and he told me he had something to show us, specially something to give to you."
I sit up in one swift motion, turning around to look at Betty. Her gunmetal blue eyes stare back at me hard, it feels like daggers are piercing my skin. I can only believe this is not something I want to see.
My lips part but I say nothing instead an exhausted sigh escapes them. I turn back around, staring at the window and observing as the silhouette as a tree crept in, resting on Betty's walls. As I stare at it longer, it's quickly replaced with one of a crown.
