I hope we don't ever make the mistake of trying to do this again

I hope we don't ever make the mistake of trying to do this again.

This is moronic in every way but I guess if this helps us find answers and closure, we don't have a choice.

I just hope Cheryl's prepared to see whatever we uncover.

A brisk gust of wind blows through our group, making us all huddle more closely together as we follow Jughead. I'm sure when the day is upon the forest, it looks more appealing and inviting but with the night, it's just a reminder that this isn't a place we shouldn't have wandered into. The bountiful, canopy of green leaves have fallen, becoming apart of the ground. The full moon shines a radiant light through the bare branches of the trees, helping us as we swiftly but cautiously move about with the fallen leaves crunching under our feet.

It's just plain creepy.

A perfect Halloween.

"Excuse my French but-" Cheryl begins.

Jughead stops, making me collide into Cheryl's back, my wet lips stick to the fur around her neck.

As I spit all the patches of hair out, I see that Jughead has turned around to focus on her.

"Right now isn't the time. Save it for someone who wants to listen."

I look briefly at Jughead's cold gunmetal blue eyes.

If being in this forest wasn't terrifying enough, seeing the harsh glint in his angry eyes makes me stumble back a bit into Archie's chest and then his arms.

"I gotcha Ronnie," Archie smiles warmly as I look up at him.

I smile back at him before looking back at Jughead and Cheryl.

"This is the dumbest shit that we've ever done," Cheryl continues before Jughead merely sighs.

"Excuse me, but there is no "us". I don't even know why any of you are here. This was supposed to be just Betty and I. Now all of you are making assumptions like we're some sort of mystery gang."

"Juggy, relax."

Betty places her arm on Jughead's shoulder. Despite him being so irritated, he was still wearing that giant pink bunny costume. This took the seriousness out of the situation and only made light of it.

All of this, Archie relishes in now.

"Jug, it's kinda hard to be frightened or offended by your words when the Easter bunny is staring back at us," Archie begins to laugh and so does everyone else except for Jughead of course.
