Chapter 6
***Brayden's POV***
It's been three months since I got put back into my home. There's been no sign of Adrianna coming back and it's destroying me. I bet that lunatic is torturing her, hurting her beyond repair. Will I get to see her again? That was the question that kept me up at night. When would I get to see her beautiful eyes again, her sexy red lips?
Cayleen and I have kept in touch and she hasn't seen anything yet either. If he did anything to her I swear I'll find him. Even if it's the last thing I do.
I have been back to school, but I can't concentrate. My friends have tried to let me back in their group but I don't have time for friends. There's too much that needs to be considered and revised. Hanging out isn't important.
Adrianna was my life and he took her from me. I don't know what to do on my free time anymore. Sometimes I wander the streets looking for her, knowing that she won't be there. I barely sleep. My parents have taken me to a doctor for sleeping pills but they don't work for long. The pills just make me groggy, as of I were drunk.
The police want to know where the four of us had disappeared to, but we vowed we wouldn't tell. We tell them we ran away. It's the only excuse we could find. What else would we say? There isn't another option.
Adrianna won't be back. Not unless she escapes... And what are the chances of the that happening? I had to keep my head held high. I was ruining myself.

***Adrianna's POV***
*5 years later*
Salvatore dropped me off at the mall as he was on his way to work. Our trust and bond has grown a great deal since the wedding. He is my family and he has taken good care of me and my little girl Ella. He knew I wouldn't pull anything.
Ella was born two years ago. I had fallen for Salvatore because of his hurt and kindness and even though I was only seventeen, I knew I wanted a child. She is a pretty blond with big green eyes. I'm very proud of her, growing to be so smart.
As I walk into the mall holding Ella's hand, I feel relief. This is the first time I've been back into town since my kidnapping, and now I'm free to do whatever I want. I could call the police if that's what I wanted. IF that was what I wanted. I didn't know if I did or not anymore.
Up ahead I see my old favorite shop, Bootlegger. I'm hoping to buy something that will impress Salvatore.
A brilliant yellow dress stands before me and I immediately know that this is the dress I've been looking for. When I try it on, it fits perfectly. The way it caresses my hips and sways in the breeze makes me instantly fall in love with it. I looked like a hundred bucks.
When I go up to the till, someone taps me on the shoulder. I tighten my grasp on Ella's hand and let out a panicked breathe. I turn to face my pursuer.
I almost scream but I remember where I am. All I can do is stand facing him as he looks down at me with accusing eyes. Ella notices my fear and begins to cry. I don't know what to do, but he speaks to break the silence.
"I thought you were dead."
He stood in front of me looking much different then before. He was still that handsome man he was when I saw him last.
"Brayden." I managed to choke out. Ella was still crying but I wasn't able to pay attention to her at the moment. He was what mattered right now.
"Adrianna! Everyone thinks you're dead! Did you escape?" he exclaimed in shock. He looked at me as if I was a ghost and I didn't like it.
"No, I didn't escape." I said clearly, thinking about how to tell him. I didn't know how he would react since I have seen him for around five years. He leaned over when he noticed Ella. He got really close to her face.
"And who is this?" he asked looking up at at me suspiciously. His eyes were squinted as he studied my face.
"That's Ella, my daughter." I said slowly. I tightened my grip on her wrist when I saw the look of terror on his face.
"Who's the father?" he asked lower his voice and turning me away from Ella. "Did he rape you? Were you forced?"
I lean toward him so he can hear me. "No. I married him and I love him." His jaw dropped. "You can't tell anyone you saw me. I'm happy where I am."
"But I thought you loved me..." he says with tears forming in his eyes. "I thought you loved me."
I sighed and ran a hand through my hair. "Look, Brayden. I did love you, I do still but Salvatore is my husband. I love him, too."
His tears began to flow faster than before, covering his cheeks with water. "I can't believe you married him. Are you crazy Adrianna? He KIDNAPPED you!"
I looked down at Ella who was playing with the buttons on a shirt. Luckily she wasn't listening to hear about how me and her Daddy met.
"He kidnapped me because he was looking for someone to love him. I didn't at first, I just wanted you, Cayleen, Pardon and the others to be free. But he's such a great guy once you get to know him. And yes, I fell in love with him."
He shook his head. I could see he was hurt, frustrated and angry. "You're insane! You have a chance to be free with us, right now! You aren't really going to go back to that dump of a house with him, are you? You have a kid to look after!"
I picked Ella up because she was starting to get restless. "Me and Ella are going to pay for this, then leave. See you around." I say coldly and marched away.
He catches my arm. "Adrianna, at least take this." he hands me his cell phone. "Use this if things start to get bad okay?" he looks into my eyes for an answer.
"Yeah. Fine, whatever." I mumble and turn away.
I remembered him to be much nicer then this.
I walked away from Brayden with Ella in my arms. She had stopped crying and was tugging at my jacket to get my attention as we went through the Bootlegger line.
"Mommy, who is that man? I've never seen him before." she whimpered. I quickly thought of an answer.
"He used to be Mommy's friend. You know how Luna's your friend?" I answered as I handed the wad of money to the cashier.
"You mean you used to throw a stick for him and he'd bring it back?" she asked with confusion. Despite my anger, I laughed.
"No Ella. Humans don't do that! A human friend is someone you can talk to and hang out with. A better example is me and Angela." Ella smiled and giggled.
"Oh, I get it now!"
We walked out of the store and I decided I was done shopping for the day. Salvatore would be here soon to pick me up, so I took a seat on the bench by the spot he was supposed to pick me up at.
Ella got bored and started to sing. I loved it when she sang because she had such a beautiful voice, but I didn't want to draw too much attention to us. "Ella, honey, I need you to stop." I said sweetly and scooped her up.
"Okay Mommy." he said and played with my hair instead. She was such a good girl, even as a baby. She barely cried and was more then happy to sing when she got bored.
That's when I saw Salvatore's van pull up. I stood and gathered my things. It was as I was walking up to the van, that all hell broke loose.
