The following morning everyone met at the top of the hill to begin the quest. They made sure hey had everything. They even made sure to bring extra nectar and ambrosia. They were now just waiting for Percy to bring all the pegasi required for all of them. Of course Delta was already sitting atop of Marie.
"I don't see why we can't just leave boss," Marie said to Delta considering they were a bit away from the group.
"We can't just leave them Marie," Delta explained. "We don't really have a choice. We have to work together."
"That didn't stop ya last time, now did it?" Marie replied with sass.
Delta sighed. This wasn't the first time Marie has brought it up. "Are you ever going to let that go?"
"Probably not." Not that long after Percy finally arrived with all the pegasi required.
"Took ya long enough kelp head," Thalia insulted Percy.
"Well it's not like any of you decided to help me," Percy defended himself. "Do you know how hard it was to get all these pegasi to agree to come? Not easy I'll tell ya." They all started to laugh.
"Will you stop messing around?" Delta asked them more harsh than she intended. "We gotta quest to do." Not wanting Delta to have another outburst they all complied and got on their Pegasus. Then they took off. Delta was hoping for one of two things to happen on this quest. One, she would be able to use the stone to bring John back, even though she knows he wouldn't want that. Or two, she would be the one to die on this quest.
As they were flying they saw monsters down below. There was a swarm of them in one area which confused them. They weren't going to do anything until they noticed why they were swarmed up like that. There was a demigod in the middle of them. Delta immediately dived down to help.
The others quickly followed, but not before wondering why Delta was so quick to help someone she didn't even know. Sure Delta is a good person, but lately she's been acting different so this was a little out of character. They still went to help, they just couldn't help but wonder why.
