Mika's POV:
I had some serious thinking to do. I mean, despite knowing what he looks like and calling him, I still didn't really know him. Like, what makes him tick, what makes him happy, does he have a short temper? After getting off the phone with him, I texted him like I said I would and then fell asleep right after hitting send.
The next morning I woke up feeling hungover. I had a text from John, but I left it until after I took something for this headache and showered. Before heading into my bathroom, I turned my ringtone all the way up and left it on my towel by my sink. And I guess it's a good thing I did since my phone started ringing while I was washing my hair. I dried my hand on the towel and answered my phone.
"Hello?"
"Mika," John said into the phone. "Is that water running?"
"Yes, I'm about to shower."
"Hm, interesting." he chuckled. "Okay, call me when you're finished."
"Okay." Click. When I was finished with my shower, I texted John and let him know I was getting dressed. I laid on my bed and opened my laptop.

Wow, okay. I mean, I can afford it because of John but still, wow.

Okay, it actually gets worse. I mean, if I liked John in person, I'm sure I could stay with him. But if I didn't like him in person, I'd be trapped at his place.

I read at least ten articles; all about what a great guy he is, how easygoing he is, how fun he is to interview, and blah blah blah. Even the women he ended things with spoke greatly of him. This doesn't make my decision any easier. I mean, for all I know, he could've paid these people to say these things. Especially the women he ended things with. During all of my research, I had completely forgotten about my phone and about getting dressed. Shit, four messages from John. Just tell him the truth, that you were thinking over his offer and getting dressed slipped your mind. Add in a wink, so he thinks your thoughts were dirty. Oo, that's good subconscious.
Mika: Sorry, I was thinking about your offer. Texting you back and getting dressed completely slipped my mind. . . ;) xoxo.
I smirked after hitting send and circled my cursor around to bring my laptop screen back to life. My screen came to life, and the first thing I saw was John's face. I had to admit he was handsome. But sometimes very attractive and great personally don't come in one package. . .
My phone buzzed next to me, but I was too lost in thought to care. I bit my lip and purchased the ticket to LA. Then opened a new tab and booked a room in one of LA's finest hotels. I went back to the tab of my airline ticket, took a picture of the screen with my phone, and sent it to John.

Mika: Guess who's coming to LA, daddy? ;)John's POV:
My phone buzzed on my desk, but I was in the middle of an important phone call trying to seal the deal with a new potential client.
"Yes, Abraham," I spoke, trying to get him to understand that we were the real thing. "No, you'll be 100% protected with us," he spoke some more. "Mhm." I hummed into the line. "Mhm, you will?" I chuckled with excitement as I sat up in my chair. "That's great man, I appreciate it. Alright, I have a meeting to get to, so I'm going to send you over to Human Resources, and Tanya will take care of you. See you soon buddy, alright, bye." I pressed a few buttons then hung up. Sighing in relief, there was a knock on my door. "Come in." I huffed.
"Don't huff at your baby sister," Mandi said, walking in with a bunch of papers.
"Sorry, sis, I didn't know it was you. Here," I stood and grabbed the papers from her. "Let me get that."
"Thanks, big bro." she sat on the couch in my office, looking around.
"Uh, something you need?" I leaned against my desk and crossed my arms.
"Oh, yeah. Thank you for reminding me." she dug into her purse and handed me a piece of paper. "It's a charity auction, and you're invited. Mom specifically requests you bring a date." she adjusted her purse strap on her shoulder and began to leave. But, holding up a finger, she turned and said, "And someone decent. Not some cheap whore like the last one. Someone real, preferably. This isn't just your image. It's our image. Bye, bro." And with that, she left.
"Fuck." I said to no one in particular. "Oh, oh!" I practically ran to the other side of my desk and grabbed my phone.
