After a bit of walking and getting lost and searching they had finally found the ship. They quickly entered.

Maddie turned to Danny, who was waiting back with Leroy. "Common, Danny. What are you waiting for?"

Danny hesitated. "Can I just ride Leroy? I'll stay close, I promise."

Maddie frowned. He wasn't implying what she thought he was.....was he? "Danny?"

Her son pouted and gripped the furr tighter. "Mom. Can I keep him?"

Maddie crossed her arms. "Absolutely not. This is a ghost Danny. We're not keeping a ghost."

"But I'll take good care of him. Please mom. You won't even notice he's there."

Maddie looked at the big monster quizzically. "Somehow. I doubt that."

Valerie snickered. "Just leave it, Danny. You know she's not gonna agree."

"Then...I'll leave it in the Ghost Zone if I can come visit it every day."

"We're not discussing this Danny," the ghost hunter said. "Leave it here."

"Once a week."

"No"

"Pleeeeeeeeeeeeease."

"Ugh."

Jack appeared in the doorway of the ship. "What's the problem, Mads?"

Maddie gestured towards the boy and his pet. "He wants to keep it."

Jack inspected the duo. Danny turned his pouting at his dad. "Well, let the boy have it!"

Danny's face brightened. "Really?"

Maddie was shocked. "What?!"

The other students listening were confused. "Seriously?!"

"Common Mads. He's a boy and he wants a pet. Just like any other boy. Except this one is a ghost. Besides, it will protect him."

Maddie huffed and crossed her arms. Danny hugged Leroy close. She sighed. "Alright. But that isn't going to fit in the house. It will stay in the Ghost Zone. You can visit it once a week only under my supervision."

Danny pumped a fist up. "YES!! Thank you"

He jumped off Leroy and engulfed her in a hug. She smiled. Then she noticed how big her son had gotten. He had reached her height, maybe even passed it. She'd forgotten that he was already 17. He could be so childish, though.

He let go and smiled. "Let's go inside, dear. Leroy can follow us for the rest of the trip."

Danny wouldn't stop grinning. He walked back and ordered Leroy to follow them. Then he jumped in the ship. His breath hitched and he felt a shiver go down his spine. He ignored it. The door slid closed behind him. He sat down as the ship flew away. He saw Leroy jump from island to island with his humongous jumps. The monster followed closely behind them. Sometimes using its horns to reach.

Maddie appeared at the front. His dad stayed in the cockpit to guide them away. Maddie clapped her hands to get the attention of the adolescents. "We will attend to your injuries now. Is there someone else who knows a bit of medical attention? We could use al the help we can get."

Melissa raised her hand and was beckoned forward. So was Valerie. And Sam.

Maddie looked pleased. "Common, boys. I know there must be someone interested in medicine. There's nothing to be ashamed off."

There was a pause. Then Kwan stepped forward slowly. Dash gasped. "Dude. What. I thought we were bros. How many secrets are you hiding from me."

Kwan gave a sheepish shrug from where he stood next to the girls.

Maddie nodded. "Allright. You divide across the students and check for injuries. Here are your aid kits. Tend to your own first. Unless someone has a worse wound. Fix the more serious wounds first." She passed out first aid kits and turned back to the teenagers. "If you have been attented already, come to me and help pass out food. Unless your wound is to serious. After that you can rest."

Kwan, Melissa, Valerie and Sam did as they were told and approached the students. Melissa seemed to hurry her way to Danny but Valerie got there first. Valerie grabbed Danny's arm roughly and glared at the redhead. Melissa humphed and walked away. Sam narrowed her eyes at them.

Danny yelped. Valerie smiled innocently. "Sorry. I want to talk to you."

She looked at Danny's arm. The bleeding had stopped and it was much less serious than it was before. "Whoa. What happened to it."

Danny looked down. "Yeah. It heals fast. My scratch is probably already healed.

Valerie shook her head unbelievably. "I wish I could heal that fast."

Dannys pursed his lips. "Is that why you know how to tend wounds."

Valerie nodded quietly. "I still need to see your arm."

Danny paused but pulled down the zipper halfway. His shirt was still on under it. He pulled his arm out of the suit. He paused and decided to just take the whole thing off. He had another pair of clothes under it anyway.

A few other students saw this and followed his expample.

Valerie inspected his arm. She grabbed a wet towel and cleaned it of blood. She was about to throw the paper away when she noticed something. She looked at the towel closely. It was red like normal blood. But it glowed. She held her hand close and it reflected a green glow.

"Umm Danny? Is this normal?"

Danny looked at what she was staring at and his eyes widened. He quickly snatched the towel from her. "Yeah. Another side effect to...you know."

Valerie nodded. "How are you going to explain the fast healing and blood?"

The halfa fidgeted. "I won't."

"You know improvising isn't gonna help you forever."

Danny shrugged. "It has so far."

There was a silence as Valerie cleaned the wound and wrapped a bandage around his arm. He didn't flinch once.

"So..." Valerie said. "How did it happen?"

Danny sighed and spoke in a low voice. But tried to make it casual so he wouldn't seem suspiscious. "My DNA got infused with ectoenergy fron the Ghost Zone."

Valerie's eyes widened. "Did. Did it hurt?"

Danny didn't answer.

Valerie finished wrapping the banadage and stood up. "Well, bye. I'm gonna check on the others."

"Are you angry?"

Valerie stopped mid turn. She paused and sighed. "Kinda. But I get it. Just give me time to get used to it."

"Ok....sorry."

Valerie nodded and left. "Me too."

Danny stared out the window. Leroy still jumped around. The boy got a plastic plate handed to him. He looked down at the cheap food. He reached out to grab the fork but realised his hand was already full.

He opened his palm. There lay the wet towel covered in his blood. Danny gasped. The blood wasn't glowing anymore. It looked like normal red human blood now. He squinted and could just detect the last wisps of green light be sucked upwards.

He followed it up. It disappeared. The filters, Danny thought.

Yeahhh i know. Kinda small. Its just...im not sure were i want to go next. I was thinking walker but itd be weird for there to be two jailbreaks in one.
Ill come up with something. You can help me if you want.
