The two rings flashed out from Danny's waist, surprising the humans.

Danny didn't look at them as the rings traveled his body. One past his head.

He heard a loud whoosh come from his head and frowned. He brought a hand up but didn't feel the normal hair he was used to. Something trickled in between his fingers.

Danny looked at his reflection in the shield and gasped. His hair was on fire.

And so the first impression the students got of Fenton turned Phantom was a panicking ghost jumping around and patting at his hair to put it out.

"Danny!"

The boy paused and peeked at Sam. She was laughing. "That's just your hair, Danny."

The halfa frowned. "You sure? Cuz last time I checked, my hair wasn't on fire." His hair bristled, emphasizing the point.

The rest were shocked. They gaped at Danny like fish out of the water.

Then a squeak resonated from Dash. "Holy cowshit. It's Danny Phantom. It's really him. He goes to my school and we share a few classes."

Phantom narrowed his eyes at Dash. Seriously??

Andrew grinned. He glanced at Sheldon, who wasn't moving and looked at Phantom wideyed. Then he noticed Andrew and narrowed his eyes at his smug grin. He jabbed him with his elbow. "Stop looking at me like that."

"I was riiiight."

Sheldon rolled his eyes. Andrew leaned forward. "Say it."

"Mmh?"

"You know what."

Sheldon sighed and cocked his head at him. "Andrew, my man. You were right. As always."

The other chuckled.

Melissa hid her face in her hands. Phantom? Really?? She almost got over Fenton but now he turns out to be the town hero on top of everything else?! This was going to be hard.

Paulina didn't seem to have the same thoughts as her inner fangirl appeared. She squeaked and shook a shocked Star around. "Fenton is the ghost boy! And he loves me! This is the best day of my life."

Mikey gasped. He wasn't surprised. Not really. Well he was shocked that he was a hero, but now that Mikey thought about it. It fit Danny so well. Being a hero for the town. The jokes and playful banter. It all somehow fit into Danny's overall personality. Mikey sparkled at the thought that Danny was in his class. They had sat next to each other. They had touched hands when Mikey borrowed him a pencil. Oh shit, he touched his pencil.

Tucker glanced around and grinned. Everyone's faces were hilarious. He kissed his pda. Thank goodness he was ready and had taken a picture.

Richard started floating in excitement. "Holy shit. You are Phantom. That's just...crazy. But...you look different up close. Did you do something to your suit?"

Danny frowned at him like 'duh'. "My hair is on fire."

Maddie shook her head. "Danny, you look blue."

Danny looked at his hand. Sure enough, he had blue skin. Danny groaned. Now he only needed fangs to complete the look. His eyes widened and his hand flew to his mouth. He sighed in relief. His teeth were normal.

A loud neighing resonated and Danny turned.

Blackjack hovered in the air restlessly. His horn still glowing as it kept up the shield. A shellshocked Chelsea on his back.
