Sam snorted at Dash when he and Kwan left the room as soon as they could without seeming uncool. But she could tell by their green expressions that they felt sick. Most other students had left. Either to explore or to escape the depressive atmosphere.

Sam stayed for obvious reasons. She was a goth and depressive atmospheres fit in her comfort zone. And she knew most of the people in these sick beds. She wasn't necessarily friends with them but they had known each other for a few years so you grow on each other eventually.

Sam heard something from the bed she was passing and she looked over. It was Pace. He was twitching and groaning. Sam's eyebrows furrowed in worry and she beckoned for a nurse. "Is he alright? What's happening to him?" She quickly changed her question because he was obviously not alright.

The nurse only sighed. "He's experiencing one of the last stages of the Eduqa. It won't be long before..."

Sam's eyes widened and she returned her gaze to Pace, who was gritting his teeth and shaking slightly. His aura was basically nonexistent now and all the green has left his body. Instead coloring his skin with a sickly yellow.

Sam gasped as she took in his familiar situation. Agafya had been just like that a few hours ago. She whirled around to see two doctors by her bedside. They were speaking to each other in a hurry and slight panic. One of them shouted: "Call for Danny!"

Sam ran up and pushed herself so she could stand next to the bed. Her hand flew to her mouth.

Agafya was crumbling. Literally. Her fingers had already turned to dust as had her toes. Her hands were slowly fading away and her hair was almost completely gone.

Sam took a step back and blinked back tears.

Oh Danny, hurry up.

Fenton huffed in frustration. He had been at this for what seemed like hours but were probably just 40 minutes.

He broke his concentration from the cow before him and stretched his back that hurt from being hunched over so long. He had been racking his brain for a way to remove the infection from the body. Fenton's eyes snapped open. That's what he had to do.

He quickly returned his attention back to the cow who had long since fallen asleep. Fenton concentrated on one cell. One yellow molecule and he searched for the DNA inside. He rearranged it and concentrated on making sure the Eduqa disappeared completely instead of only removing it.

The cow shifted and let out a whimper but Fenton was too distracted. He flipped the molecule so it was connected to something else and he let out a surprised yelp when the whole molecule turned green.

Fenton gasped and was startled out of his concentration. He stared at the cow and blinked. Then a grin broke out and he flung his arms up. "Yeah! I did it! Haha!!" He did a little dance. "Take that you stupid bacteria." He paused. Wait a second. This spreads.

He quickly lunged his focus back in the cow's body to find...nothing. Not a single green molecule or a sign that it had existed. Fenton frowned but he wasn't going to be discouraged. He had found a cure. He just had to perfect his skill so he could heal the whole body before it was infected by the sick cells.

After about an hour some of the ghosts came running up. Fenton looked up in confusion.

They immediately shouted for him to come.

"Why?" Fenton asked, getting up. "What's wrong?"

"It's Agafya!"

The human froze. His breath caught in his throat. "But- but I'm not ready. I haven't practiced enough."
