This is probably what danny looks like in this book. Idk

Danny suddenly realised how hard it was getting for him to breathe. His breath hitched and he felt weaker than normal. He groaned and slumped in his seat.

This wasn't good.

Meanwhile the students had been attented to. A few had been injured by Skulker's traps, but most only had scratches.

Richard had fallen asleep the minute he sat down. Not even bothering to bring out the bed. Kwan took pity on him and picked him up. He pushed the button and the bed rolled out. He dumped the boy in.

Others brought their beds out too. Food had been eaten and thrown away. There was a line to the bathroom again.

Maddie smiled from where she looked at the students. They were falling right into the routine. And it was only the second 'night'. She noticed Danny hadn't eaten anything and looked rather pale.

"Danny sweetie?"

He jumped.

"Are you feeling alright? How's your arm?"

He took a deep breath and smiled at her. "I'm fine mom. It's nothing." He picked up his fork and started eating.

She noticed a towel on his lap and picked it up. It was dirty with blood. She pursed her lips, knowing it was from her son. "I'll throw this away. Eat up and go to sleep. You've earned it."

Danny nodded meekly and took a bite. Then he realised how hungry he was and shoved more in his mouth. Soon the plate was clean. He licked the crumbs off the plate.

"I see you liked the food."

Danny looked up to see Sam standing above him. Two plates in her hands.

He licked his lips. "Yeah."

She handed him her other plate and he grinned. He didn't bother with the fork and grabbed the potatoes with his hands and shoved it in his mouth.

Sam looked away disgusted. Tucker met her gaze and he winked. She rolled her eyes.

"Thanks, Sam." Danny swallowed his last bite and licked the plate clean. "I was hungry for some reason."

"Well, it is kind of late to eat dinner. In the Human Zone it's eleven in the night."

Danny nodded. He stood up and threw away his two plates and chucked the water down. "I have to tell you something, Sam."

Sam paused. What was he going to say? It wasn't....

"The filters on the ship are stronger now."

Sam was slightly disappointed. "Oh."

He sat back down. He called out to Tucker. "You got any further with the filters?" He asked in Ghost.

Tucker shook his head. "Didn't have much time remember. Too busy running from hunters and escaping jail."

Danny chuckled. "Welcome to my world."

"You've never been in jail?"

"If you count all the traps and prisons I've been put in, I'd say every day."

Sam pushed Tucker to his bed. "Whatever. Time to go to bed. We need to get ready for whatever life throws at us tomorrow."

Danny sighed and stood up. He went to the seat in the cockpit. Another wonderful sleep in the seat. He paused before sitting down.

"Mom?"

"Yes, sweety," she answered from the back.

"Can you turn off the seatbelt or something? I don't want to sleep strapped all night again."
