I'm alive!!!!
Chelsea frowned at the ghost. "What? How do you know my name?" Her face cleared in realization. "Are you some kind of all knowing being? Are you going to give me a quest because I am the chosen one?" She spread her hands around in the sky.
The ghost's lips lifted as if he had just heard a joke that never got old. "Yes. In a way."
Chelsea blinked. Not exactly expecting to be right. She squinted. "Who are you?"
He nodded. "My name is Clockwork. I am the Master of Time."
The brown haired girl crossed her arms. "Right. There's a time ghost. What else. The ghost of emotions? The theater ghost? I wouldn't be surprised if Shakespeare appeared and recited Romeo and Juliet." She paced as she waved her arms around.
Clockwork waited until she stopped. "I am here to talk to you and 'send you on a quest' as you said."
Chelsea scowled. "Why me? Why should I trust you at all?"
Clockwork nodded. "I can only say that I am Master of Time and I know you, Chelsea. I have seen you be born and grow up. I've seen your whole life. Even your future."
Chelsea made a face. "You do know this only makes me think you are a crazy toddler stalker after a teenage girl? How do I know you're telling the truth?"
Clockwork cocked his head. "You are only daughter. You've been kicked out of two schools for fighting. You have been in jail three days for attempted robbery.."
Chelsea grinned. "It was a dare." She shook her head. "Alright. I guess I believe you. How do you know all this? How old are you anyway to know that I was kicked out of kindergarten."
Suddenly the time ghost flickered. Next thing she knew a different ghost stood before her. It was a middle aged man with the same cloak, same skin color, and same scar. Chelsea took a step back. "Who the heck are you?!"
The man smiled amused. "I am still Clockwork. I must remind you, I am the Ghost of Time."
Chelsea frowned. "So you switch ages? What happened to the teenage look?"
The blue ghost shook his head. "This is how it is. But we are getting offtrack. You want to know how I know you? I know all of you. I have seen you all be born and grow up. I have seen your parents be born. Your grandparents. I know all. I have been around for millennia of years."
Chelsea scrunched her nose. "You must be really bored if you can't find anything better to do than watch people be born."
Clockwork sighed.
Chelsea grinned at a thought. "Wait. So if you are the time ghost. Do you know the future?"
The ghost nodded. "As I have said. I do."
The girl gasped. "That's so freaking cool. What's gonna happen to me. Do I get a job? Am I in the army? Am I a police officer? Am I a thief? I could honestly do both at this point."
Clockwork shook his head. "I see many futures. It all depends on your choices. Or on the choices others make that affect you directly or indirectly."
Chelsea frowned in confusion. "Sooo I don't get a job? Figures."
Clockwork sighed again. He had known they would have this conversation. Sure it might have gone slightly different but he knew it would be tiring. "Chelsea. I have stopped time to talk to you privately."
The girl pursed her lips and frowned. "What is it?"
"Many things are going to happen soon. I usually am not allowed to interfere but..." The ghost smirked. The first time Chelsea had seen that childish glint in his expression. "I need to tell you something. Do you remember the steed you found by Pariah Dark's castle?"
