You stare at Ashton in shock holding your hand up to your now most likely flaming red cheek.

"Bre-"

"Save it Ashton." You growl, tears pricking your eyes as you push past him, in direction of your bedroom.

To think, that him out of all people would do such a thing. Never would you expect Ashton to hit you, just the image of him staring you down, eyes flammed with rage as he rose his hand at you caused you to shutter as you grabbed a bag, stuffing what you could in it.

"Bre (yeah, I'm giving you a nickname Merry Christmas)?" Ashton's voice sounds to you, it raspy with unshed tears. "Where are you going?"

"Away." You mumble, getting ready to walk past him as he grabs your arm desperately.

"No, no please!" Ashton sobs. "I'm sorr-"

"Sorry doesn't cut it god dammit!" You shout at him, shaking his hand away. "You hit me for gods sakes!"

"I know!" He cries, now using his hands to wipe his tears. "But can't we at least try to work this out!?" He pleads. "I can't live without you!"

"You have to be kidding me!" You shout, watching him continue to cry. "How can you expect me to forgive you?"

"I'm not asking for forgiveness, I'm asking for us to try to work it out!" Ashton shouts as he pleads more, causing you to sigh.

"Listen." You begin. "I'm going to leave, but only for tonight to clear my head, okay? And then I'll come home tomorrow so we can talk about this. Ash I love you with every bone and my body and trust me I do not want lose you either, but what you did was wrong, and in the back of my head I may never truly forgive you, but I will try to my ability to fix this, okay?" You finish, watching Ashton's panicked face, wash with relief.

" A-alright." He sniffles in agreement. "See you tomorrow then?"

"Tomorrow."

Sorry I know you wanted a legitimate make-up, which this basically is, but I didn't want to leave an obvious happy ending after it he legitimately just hit her, because domestic abuse is wrong and never would I encourage one to forgive a man and or women entirely after something like that.
