"(Y/n)? Is that you?" I dropped the bread I was holding into the buggy at the sound of my name. I turned around to see my ex-boyfriend, Stephen Strange. I squealed as I threw myself into his arms.
"Oh my goodness! How have you been?" I haven't heard much about him since he was in the car crash, and I hadn't seen him sense college. "You look great!"
"Thank you," He said with a smirk. If I'm going to be honest, I've actually missed that smirk. "You look pretty great as well." He glanced down my body. I shoved his shoulder and rolled my eyes.
"Shut up!" I scoffed. He went to speak once more but his eyes went behind me. I looked as well to see my husband walking towards us with our toddler in one hand and peanut butter in the other.
"Babe, who's this?" He asked but I knew he recognized him. He always felt slightly threatened when I told him that I previously dated the greatest doctor in the country.
"This is Steven Strange, Steven this is my husband, Mark." I introduced them. Mark dropped the peanut butter and reached over to shake Steven's hand. Steven glanced at it before finally grabbing it. Mark told me he was going to grab some chips and he would be right back. He passed my daughter into my arms and walked away from the aisle.
"I didn't know you were married, why didn't I get an invite to the wedding?" His attitude changed drastically at this new peice of information.
"Well, you had just gotten into your accident and.." My voice softened as I could no longer look him in the eyes.
"And?" He questioned, not seeming to give up.
"I probably wouldn't have been able to do it if you were there. I always thought it'd be you I was married to." I confessed. "I know you didn't fell the same though, would it's okay. I'm really happy with Mark." My smile grew at the thought of Mark.
"Well, I'm glad everything has worked out." He smiled a tight smile and gave my daughter a wink, causing her to giggle. "Please, don't be a stranger." He handed me a slip of paper holding his phone tumblr.
"I definitely won't be." I smiled as I began to walk away. I gave him one last wave before turning and going to my husband. I will forever be afraid that I've made the biggest mistake of my life.
